Last night as I lay down to sleep I felt I was under attack by numerous dark beings. I was lying on my left side and the whole of my right side felt contorted and stressed, and I kept seeing these rush of shadows coming down to me. I turned over to my other side and the feelings dissipated almost immediately. Has any one else experienced something similar?

EDIT: I'm not talking about the same thing obviouslyLaughing Wink

The same thing? No... Similar... Yes. It's called the dark side of DMTLaughing
It's there and one should know that before trying DMT... And afterwards it's best to practice to deal with it(accepting, fighting it, whatever one wants/can/feels like doing with it).

It's interesting how moving physically can change the direction of the journey as you stated... It has happened to me before. Altough I stood up and walked to another room(which ended the "dark" journey for me).

Smile

Result of too quick reading...

Nightmare? Sleep paralysis?

There has been some talk on the nexus about sleep paralysis, maybe it could be interesting(search can find it).

no.

sounds like a negative energy, not drug induced or perceived in sleep.
my wife detects them easily

I've had negative hallucinations in SP, whats with the flat out no? It seems more unreasonable to me that you would actually just get attacked by a negative energy.

i'm saying people don't necessarily need to be on drugs to sense these sort of things, as is the case
with the OP. not every sort of metaphysical manifestation has to be a drug-induced hallucination

I get this all the time. I know exactly 100% what you are describing!

It is just discomfort, if I lay on my right side for every night as I fall asleep. Then if I lay on my left side, my ride side feels very vulnerable, and as you said. Like it is getting attacked.

Visa Versa, the same thing.

I have had this happen to me both ways.

I didn't say that it had to be. It's just the "as I lay down to sleep" that made me think of sleep paralysis, since there's no real break in consciousness it can happen out of no where instantly IME.

No clearer what it was for me. I certainly could accept a number of different proposals. I am really reluctant to draw conclusions until I learn more - which may I may never do because it might not happen again. Isn't life interesting?!

bump because something relevant occurred to me last night

i was having an incredibly vivid dream which involved my parents asleep sitting up on a couch, and an evil spirit watching over them. the spirit then looked at me with the most menacing eyes i have ever seen, i can still see them so clearly.

i then fell into a bout of sleep paralysis which terrified me to my core

is this common? what can be done to prevent this from occurring again? i went into a state of panic briefly until i 'awoke.'

I think we were all just taken aback by your genuine word selection of "negative energy"

That happened to me and my friends for about a week after taking some "X pills" once, it was the strangest thing.
Meditate before you venture, take it seriously, use it as medicinal—it is good psychotherapy if needed. Realize that you, the Earth, others, and the Universe are all one and the same process. Then take that knowledge back to become, as you already are, one with nature. Eternity in every moment. Divinity in every particle. All is one organism.
