You should confirm with customs what you have just stated above, and ask them if it is ok. Do not order untill you are advised. Legal wrangles cost a lot of money to fix in the least. "Eat your vegetables and do as you're told, or you won't be going to the funfair!"

I've imported MHRB into NZ on multiple occasions. Always under 1kg at a time and labeled as organic purple dye then as plant it came from. My suggestion would be if the person sending it agrees for plant it came from use Acacia tenuifolia or Acacia martinicensis, they are both correct and given recent interest in Mimosa Hostilis by NZ customs would be a safer option IMO. Also only internal packaging needs plant label, keep customs declaration as organic dye. Black then white are all I see in my infancy.
Red and yellow then came to be,
reaching out to me, lets me see.
There is so much more and it beckons me to look though to these,
infinite possibilities.

Smaller attracts less attention I feel, don't order direct from South America, if its posted from there will be more likely to be inspected. Black then white are all I see in my infancy.

NZ has very strict rules against whole bark from any tree. May cause more issues that way as will definitely be looked at. A small package of dye shouldn't cause concern.
