Hey all,
I'm new to the Nexus, been looking around as a guest for a couple weeks or so. I have never tried DMT (smoked or oral), but my time will come. I'm 26 and have had a couple level 5 trips on mushrooms in the past year . I build my own computers, and watch a lot of documentaries, I really liked DMT: The Spirit Molecule. Trying to get over drinking, but it has proven to be hard since it is so accessible. I am a Biology student and wish to go to a four year for my Bachelors in Botany. I am married with no children, and have terrible grammar (as you can see with all the fragments and run-on sentences). I am looking forward to learning and sharing with you all, and I really like the Attitude of this forum. It's hard to find a good one nowadays.

Welcome. Don't worry about your grammar. For one thing, your writing is fine. For another, this isn't a writing forum. There are lots of people here who have english as a second language, so you'll be fine.
Are you interested in extracting dmt? Which route of administration are you more interested in? Smoked or oral? There's apparently a big difference. I've never tried oral. I plan on doing a pharmahuasca trip soon.

If you are really interested in trying dmt, I'd suggest checking out the wiki and reading through the extraction teks. I have fallen in love with the q21q21 tek, because of it's ease and the purity of the final product. I also think it's a good tek for beginners. You might be attracted to another type of tek though. There is a huge amount of great info in the wiki. If you haven't checked it out, the link is at the top of the page under the banner.

Mushrooms are wonderful. I really prefer them to vaped nn dmt, tho i have yet to try oral dmt.
Ive always thought of vaporized dmt as a smokeable form of mushrooms, psilocybin/psilocin being 4-OH-DMT/4-PO-DMT it almost is. Its like smoking dmt takes you right into the peak of a high dose mushroom trip and then drops off just as fast.
There are a lot of smart, educated people here ready to help, and its very easy/cheap to extract. Just learn as much as you can and treat it with respect and i hope you can experience it soon.

Even the peak of my most intense psilohuasca journey (7g powdered psilocybin preceded by 100mg rue) came nowhere close to what even a 15-20mg vaped experience can provide. Of course everyone reacts differently. I would definitely concur about the stylistic similarities, but shrooms are a much more organic experience, while freebase DMT is like a precision drop into the center of the mandala (for better or for worse).

At any rate, definitely worth trying!

@Mister_Niles: I am probably going to have to extract it if I ever want to try it, since I don't know very many people interested in things like this, but I'm kind of uneasy ordering the root bark and it will take at least two to three years if I get seed/sapling. How should I go about ordering it if I do? I am interested in both smoked and oral. Particularly straight vaped, changa, and pharmahuasca. Which of the q21q21 teks do you use? I like the idea of being food safe with d-limonene. I have read a couple of the teks on the wiki already and this one stood out, but I don't know if I want to try red or white for my first time.

@Guyomech & Psyren: Its nice to know that I may encounter familiar things when I first try it. I am really interested in vaping some straight to see where it takes me, but I'm still kind of nervous. It sounds like it can be a bit habit forming since you can just take another hit when you clear up, but what isn't habit forming that is enjoyable? I've read that some people break through and are cool for a week or two, which reminds me about mushrooms how when you stop tripping you can't really take them within four days unless you up the dose quite a bit, and I find myself a little exhausted and don't want to do them for awhile at least a week most of the time or longer.

Well, as much as I get from the experience, I have no desire to be a daily user. DMT trips can be quite challenging, and I find that it takes a bit of time to recharge and integrate before going again (I use it 3-4 times a year, and get an enormous amount of inspiration from those few experiences).

You will find posts here from daily users, but by and large these folks tend to get past this "honeymoon" period within a year or less. All it takes is one or two really rough journeys to get you to put on the brakes. It has absolutely no physical withdrawal, so the minute you decide you're ready for a break, you can take one easily.

Really, the biggest risk with DMT is that your reality will be blown open so wide that integration is challenging. Warming up with the slower psychedelics is a good way to prevent this. Some of the most veteran travelers (read Antrocles' posts in the Quality Experience Reports) have arrived at this place, even after thousands of journeys, where it became almost too much. But if you pace yourself you'll be fine- these hardcore psychonauts all went willingly into these extreme places.

Out of six months on another forum no one has said anything about it. Jefferson is my favorite fore-father, he was also a good gardener.

I'd also like to recommend the q21q21 tek, that's what I've been working with recently and despite the fact that I'm not a trained chemist it does seem simple enough for anyone to comprehend, plus i like the notion of using lime over lye, just feels safer.

Are you guys reccomending Tek 1 or Tek 2?

I always use tek 2. The fluffy white funfest. It's my favorite method so far. I've done STB teks and fasa with limonene, I'm in love with the q21q21 tek. It's easy, forgiving and fun. We love you Q21Q21!
