In about 10 minutes I'm going going to Do my first pull. Using the tek posted by Gir int he STB fourm. So my questions is, After I do my first pull Do i put it in a pyrex backing dish and let that evap or to I combined it with my second pull.
OR
Do I put it in a quart jar and evap half way then put it in the freezer.
lastly do i put a lid on the jar? when I freeze percip or during the whole process?
Thanks

Any time you put solvent in your freezer or fridge it should be sealed in a jar or if your using pyrex its good to stick the pan in a big ziplock bag. If your solvent is saturated enough you can skip the evap step, cause evaping naphtha sucks. If its not saturated enough it would prolly be a good idea to evap. If you blow on it hard and see some good precipitation i usually skip evap. its totally up to you whether or not to combine pulls, i usually do. If you dont and freeze precip the pulls individually, youll see that your first pull will be very white, then get progressively more off white/yellow Seek not abroad, turn back into thyself, for in the inner man dwells the truth.

Yes, as Psyren indicated:
You can pour each pull into separate vessel (cover/seal, then put into freezer), or you can combine all the naphta, or whatever you are using, from all pulls into one container (then cover/seal, and put into freezer).

Then after 12-24 hours then what? pour it into a filter, dry jar with crystals and dry filter and combine?

Pour off all the solvent. The yield should stick to the jar or tray. If not pour thru a coffee filter to collect any floaters. Put the jar or tray back in the freezer upside down for 30-60min so most of the remaining solvent falls out. then carefully drain the solvent off again and put the jar/tray in front of a fan with some kind of filter on top so you dont blow crap onto your yield. Wait until it doesnt smell like solvent anymore and then some and your done. Seek not abroad, turn back into thyself, for in the inner man dwells the truth.

If you keep your last pulls separate, it's easy to see when your lye solution is exhausted.

Oh one more quick question (sorry new here) is it wrong/bad to leave your container uncovered in the freezer. I thought i read somewhere that it promotes crystal growth, although this might have only been in the case of re-crystallization. Any info would be appreciated, thanks.

Hi, I always cover the container in the freezer (otherwise the naphta could absorb water from the freezer) After several hours in the freezer (overnight), quickly pour the naphta away, through a filter. Then let dry both the filter and the container (it depends on your method, but most of the DMT should be stuck to the walls of the container). After it is completely dry, scrape the stuff off

Always put a lid on it unless you have an outdoor freezer and no neighbors the naphtha evaps and will get into all your food. plus no one wants to smell lighter fluid all day. Canna

Is there a major advantage to the Cold-Freeze-Cold method as opposed to only freezing? I've heard that the crystals will grow larger if CFC'd. If there is a considerable advantage, how long should one wait between removing from the fridge to freezer and back and how many times should one do this before the xtals have reached their max potential? Thanks in advance.

I can't remember wherei found this but I saved it on my phone. Quote:You gents need to re-crystallize using the CFC (cool-freeze-cycle) a few times-- the process will absorb both the impurities and the spice back into the solvent, and doing the CFC, IN ORDER will give you purer spice that will stay crystallized at room temp--
This means COOL your freshly pulled&saturated solvent (after you have air evap'd it down somewhat to further concentrate the spice content, *spicewill NOT evaporate into the air, btw*)--in your fridge for a few+ hours, THEN freeze in your freezer (on it's COLDEST setting--important!), then repeat a couple of times.
This process will help separate the impurities that are causing your spice to revert to goo when at room temp. The spice will form hard crystal, and the goo will stay in the solvent. CFC'ing will remove these "goo's" from the spice where evapping alone won't-- the point of straining the frozen solvent through a coffee filter to collect your spice is ONLY to remove the suspended impurities before they can re-bind to your spice as they all warm.
PURE SPICE WILL NOT MELT AT ROOM TEMP. Only spice that is bound to plant fats and other chemicals will.
Once you get room-temp stable spice, you can then wash it with high-purity ammonia (ammonia is bad and decreases yield big time!!) if you wish to remove some additional impurities... but using the proper CFC technique in the first place will net you whitish/cream colored spice with almost no taste whatsoever that's very pure, with perfect, clean spice aroma (the synthetic/plastic'y smell that is totally unique to DMT.)
You shouldn't smell ANY naptha or other funk whatsoever-- give your pulled spice a day in slow air to evap any remaining solvent off completely before using. (this is another reason to use a solvent that evap's off COMPLETELY, like high-quality VM&P Naptha, or absolutely best--Bestine Rubber Cement remover, which is pure Heptane-- the best you can get). If your solvent leaves ANY residue as it evapps, remember that that residue will be in your spice until you wash it) Open your Mind ( â’¶) Please read my DMT vaping guide ( â’¶) Fear is the mind killer "Energy flows where attention goes" [Please review the forum Wiki and FAQ before posting questions]

Thanks anrchy. That helps. I'll be starting my first extract here in about a week and trying to etch the process into my head. I just couldn't remember how long to keep in fridge and freezer each time. As in I wasn't sure if it was a few hours or 12+ hours before transferring from fridge to freeze to fridge. Preciate that
