All comments on this incredibly unique book are appreciated. If you are not familiar with it check wikipedia for its details and then search google images "codex seraphinianus"

Are there other "things" like this out there? What...

Is it a DMT influenced work, I have not been very deep (5 breakthroughs) but it resonates with my newly acquired DMT-sense (is this just a fanciful thing I made up this "DMT-sense" or do others see certain aspects of reality being very close to the vial between the DMT-verse and Consensus reality?

Thanks to anyone who puts in the time to answer this very vague query,

Eric

Wow yeah I have come across this book before in my journeys through the internet. Definitely inspired by entheogens if not DMT itself.

The author of the book must have been quite the psychonaut. The book either feels like a coded puzzle to be solved or just so much straight absurdity that it shuts down the inquisitive mind. Does sound much like the Spice...

reminds me of the historically much earlier absurd book, The Voynich Manuscript

And the animation reminds me of the awesome French cartoon Fantastic Planet

In the province of the mind what one believes to be true, either is true or becomes true within certain limits. These limits are to be found experimentally and experientially. When so found these limits turn out to be further beliefs to be transcended. In the province of the mind there are no limits. However, in the province of the body there are definite limits not to be transcended.-J.C. Lilly

Thanks No Knowing, cool response.

Apparently it is a coded puzzle, to a certain extent at least, in that the strange numbering system of the pages was decoded after much effort by a group of very happy mathematicians in there gladly given recreational time. (This is from a legit source but please check it out yourselves)

Many linguists believe the script is a code, but cannot decode it as of yet. There is a possibly misleading/illuminating "rosetta stone" that has been found within the pictures hinting at the text's possible interpretation.

Nexus members: Please verify such statements for yourselves as I am only repeating what I have read and don't know for sure if the sources are legit.

If you look at a given image from day to day it seems to change (all images do this as a response to mood and experience, but these do so in very pleasing, although disconcerting manner)

I'll post the .pdf so others can have a look.

Wow. I just read the Hallucinatory Encyclopedia by Peter Schwenger. Its a very well worded, amorphous, hard (for me) to digest proof, or lack of, that we were created by a higher intelligence. Basically dissects Seraphinianus from a psychonaut perspective. Just blew my mind.

Thanks for turning me onto it. The Seraphinianus wiki page had a link.
"For him, LSD and psilocybin did not introduce, as if they were contaminants, unnatural hallucinations. Instead, they manifested – that is, made perceptible and, from the point of view of the senses, seemingly material – what was already latent in the mind. They gave spatial dimensions to strange modes of cognition and lavish mental imagery"

We've had a thread on this codex over here.

"The Mighty One appears, the horizon shines. Atum appears on the smell of his censing, the Sunshine- god has risen in the sky, the Mansion of the pyramidion is in joy and all its inmates are assembled, a voice calls out within the shrine, shouting reverberates around the Netherworld." - Egyptian Book of the Dead
