What country was this in?

Black or white.....
It isn't like you have to make money OR enjoy life. Some people can apparently do both.
I for one would not consider not living to make money. Seems strange to even bring it up.

Sure there are success driven people that live for nothing else, but that is their high, I hope they enjoy it.

Vovin - You have got to be one of the most overwrought and melodramatic people I've ever encountered. Your endless need to prophesize and speechify is astounding. Do you talk like this in real life - like you're the hero in a Shakespearean tragedy? I can't imagine the folks at OWS thinking you're any less silly than I do.

My dear (American friends, and other) Nexians,
Vovin and others,

I live in Europe right now, but I have spent 2 years of my life in the USA. I don´t think that Vovin´s pressing post (however dramatic and America-cetered is seems to be) applies to the World as such, Australia included, to the World as we know/knew it.

As the prominent post-cold-war philosopher Slavoj Žižek puts it, we are now living in "The End Times"; not only from the purely economic and social, but also from the environmental and (bio)political point of view. The world society - at the background of the most dramatic economic and political crisis in world´s history - is definitely changig, RIGHT NOW...

We are not to solve the World´s crisis here on the DMT-nexus forum. Nor do I think it is wise to make fun of someone´s "dark prophecies" here; we are truly living in "the end times", or at least in the age of the most dramatic changes in the history of Western civilization. We cannot solve these "problems" here. What we can do, however, is to learn/study about "our ´end´ times", try to do the right (political, social, economic) decisions, and definitely not pretend that the World´s problems are not our own problems...
