I think you'll find that ultimately, you will have to find out alot of this for yourself.................it is very subjective, and can even be very different for the same person from launch to launch...........
For me, the 3 hit method doesn't have specific differences for each hit............it is just a means of receiving a high enough cumulative dose to launch you into hyperspace............for me, it takes 30 seconds plus to absorb into my system, which by that time, I have usually taken the 3rd hit.................
IMHO there isn't time or big changes between indiviual hits.............just a marked increase of effect over the time of the 3 hits....................its kind of like pulling back the elastic on the slingshot over the course of the 3 hits.........when done, let go........................
Many times......... without some assistance from a guide or friend, you may never get to the 3rd hit.........by the time you exhale hit #2, I find the effects are ramping up enough that I am no longer capable of remembering anything, much less the 3rd hit...............I think that's why McKenna always stressed....."You HAVE to take the 3rd hit"!. I have had to literally shove the pipe in someone's face and say "Take the 3rd hit!!!" and light the lighter and hold it for them.
Personally, thanks to the advice from other members, I have been using the GVG (Glass Vapor Genie), which allows you to easily take a full dose and clear the GVG in one inhalation............
I believe, the more you absorb in the shortest period of time, usually results in the most effective hyperspace experiences......IMHO.......
I also feel, for myself, that not having any expectations works best. Just relax, surrender completely, and let the spice take you for the most unbelievable experience you have ever known.......It is quite a gift....IMHO
Safe travels.............and make sure you remember to let go................
Much Love.........
