I'm currently contemplating to plant some hemp seeds outside somewhere far away from the living world in the hope that these will grow until they're full-grown hemp plants that I can harvest to satisfy my cannabis hunger. However, it's June already and I live in the Netherlands. We don't have the best climate and I was wondering: is it still possible to plant some cannabis outside and harvest before it gets too cold? I have no option at all to grow indoors. The spice extends life. The spice expands consciousness. The spice is vital to space travel.

Since cannabis is an annual plant that starts flowering once the lighting period is correct, which in our northern hemisphere is middle or late august, seeds planted in june won't have much time to grow before that. A couple months from seed will give you rather small plants. So yes you can, but at least make sure that you give them a spot with good soil and plenty of sunlight, and pay them a visit often to maximize the little vegetation growth time you have. At this point, rooted clones and an area with heavy/superior sunshine would be ideal. Also, be sure to check your local laws and regulations. I don't know about Netherlands, but planting on property that does not belong to you where I live can get you anywhere from Federal jail time to shot by the rightful owner . . . Good luck - I hope your grow is a success. I love it when folks grow their own medicine. "But even if nothing lasts and everything is lost, there is still the intrinsic value of the moment. And even if you would not get a huge harvest you can make delicious hemp green smoothies with buds and leaves, why not few mangoes etc that have said to even cure various illnesses.. Check out hemp leaf/cannabis smoothie videos from youtube, somewhere there was, also mentioned in some topic here, a woman that had crazy many pills for severe illnesses and now she just drinks hemp smoothies and takes no pills O_O Good learning experience since you can make rope, clothes etc from the plant! along learning to grow food in the first place
