InfectedStyle suggests starting with a low dose (5-10mg?) and working up gradually. That's about as mellow as you can get with DMT, and would give your friend a chance to experience a warning shot before diving in deeper than he can handle. Would also be a chance for you to get a first taste without being completely bowled over.
Don't underestimate the power of a low dose experience! Guyomech- Maybe it's a bit alarmist. But reading that post MADE me want to give this young man a heads-up. Of course, if he really wants to experiment with dmt, he'll find a way. I just hope he exercises good judgement. - My first dose damn near ripped the soul out of my body, mostly because I was cavalier and unprepared! - Just my .02

Starting off with a low dose sounds like a good idea. I'm going to be getting a meth pipe to smoke it since I really don't want to blow too much money on something I'm not going to be using frequently and because my pipes keep disappearing... Today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday.

You may not get great results from a meth pipe. Look at some of the other methods described at the nexus. A lot of people like to use bongs- if you or your friend have one, problem solved (fresh water for cryin out loud!). My first half dozen tries were with a crack pipe arrangement, and I never got to a decent high level breakthrough that way.

Yeah bongs work great, I would say a meth pipe is a waste of money. It might be cheap, but not worth it. You will probably end up burning the dmt if you are not to careful. The Unknown = A Place to Learn
