I never really introduced myself around here.
Sorry for being rude.

I am aqh, some of you may have seen me around a couple of the OMC's.
I've been into mycology for a few years now and recently I began my experiments with the spirit molecule.
Admittedly, I haven't gone very far with the DMT yet but I figure there's no rush with that.

I am now interested in cactii.
I was hoping to get some general feedback here.
What is your preferred species and why?

I was originally interested in tricocherus peruvianus but I'd like to hear what others have to say.

Happy trails!

STS is a community for people interested in growing, preserving and researching botanical species, particularly those with remarkable therapeutic and/or psychoactive properties.

Sorry guys, I'm probably asking this on the wrong website.
Anyone know of a more cactii friendly forum?

the cacti subforum is actually quite comprehensive, but you cannot post there as of yet.

however any preference would be subjective, so it is best to grow maybe some achuma, san pedro, peruvianus, and maybe even some lophophora; and then base your conclusion around your personal experience.

there is no cactus that is objectively better than another.

That makes sense.
I essentially say the same thing over on the other site when someone asks "which strain of cubensis is the best/fastest/highest yielding/etc.."
And, I ended up ordering a six pack of rooted seedlings of peruvianus and bridgesii (12 total) to get my cactii garden started.
Also 4 12'' cuttings for other experiments.

Anyway, this site has been great so far!
The Q12 tek was super easy and now I'm going to give House's cactus tek a go.

Thanks again guys, and what's the requirements for posting in other forums?

establishing your presence, preferably with eloquent and insightful posts Smile
writing an introductory essay never hurts either.
other than that just patience.

but before posting, try searching.. almost all of your questions have probably been asked before (but try both google and this site's search. as this site isn't good for looking up old and 'dead' threads)
