Hey mate welcome to the nexus good to have another acacia enthusiast i the midst.. pretty sure obtusifolia flowers in summer? phyllodes would be a good sustainable way of harvesting spice too, though I think they often have nmt in them too. just in case you weren't aware obtusifolia has been subjected to disturbing levels of wild harvest and its populations have suffered badly as a result of greedy people. i would highly reccomend not using trunk bark for extractions.. but yeah you seem to have the right idea anyway I just thought I'd put that out there twigs are apparently the purest part of obtuse and are also a sustainable method so I'd reccomend that route good luck brother

hey mate they do flower in summer. it is quite hard to find one when not flowering though. you can perform the extraction and test the final extraction with a testing kit. it can be practice of how to do the process just do it in small amounts eg 250-500 grams of bark. a good method to finding a sustainable source is to only remove around 50% of the bark from one side of the tree. this let the tree survive cause it can still get water up through the bark and should recover eventually. Welcome to the Nexus, do write an introduction essay with a bit more info so we can get to know you Regarding Acacia, have a look on this thread if you havent yet: https://www.dmt-nexus.me...aspx?g=posts&t=23472and the Acacia link in my signature too. Take your time reading, and let us know if there's anything you cant find answer to.If you do get to extract from Acacias, as it has been said, make sure you are sustainably harvesting (info on above thread too). Also be sure to update us if you make any experiments! See you around.
