I agree with you, but I doubt it will create any problems for us. This seems to be an annual event -- they did "DMT" in 2010, and "2-DMT" in 2011.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of this either.
But I feel like they're using the phrase divine moments of truth more than the DMT part, none-the-less I feel like it spreads a bad vibe about what DMT is about, and I'm positive people will think of it more as a rave, party, festival drug after seeing this.
*Sigh*

I don't understand the problem here. Maybe I'm jaded and owe some thanks to the rave/festival scene for introducing me to mind-altering substances -- but, I take issue with the "I've found the key...now it's all MINE!" mentality. Isn't this the kind of subtle marketing to the youth we've all been fighting for? How many kids are going to head into this rave thinking, "What's this DMT stuff?" Seems like a win to me. What's the beef? It's an abbreviation of another set of words. I went to a party by the Devine music tribe (also ab. To DMT) and I didn't think anything distasteful of it. Good party actually There's also a coffee shop called AMT... I don't think most people would make any strange connection with that one.

I agree with a1pha. If Terrance believed in the "key is mine" mentality none of us would be here. Instead he would tell ANYONE who would listen so he could spread the word. The problem with wisdom is that it cannot be taught, but ignorance can.

I can understand why you don't like the idea. It doesn't exactly appeal to me. If we are wanting more people to know about DMT, then I feel like it should be through an educated manner. I could not imagine going to a rave, and then tripping on DMT. That would be horrible in my perspective. No respect for what it has to offer, just a way to get high and have fun. But still I feel like we cannot lament over the fact, bad propaganda for DMT will get out. And people will get the wrong impression. It is our duty to try to keep the odds in our favor, and educate people who need to be educated. The Unknown = A Place to Learn

i don't think the slogan "divine moments of truth" promotes it as a party drug at all.. quite the opposite in fact as it is obviously paying homage to its spiritual qualities. raves/doofs can be great places to use dmt depending on where and why you use it.. i love going off for a wander in the bush during the day at a doof and smoking dmt and then coming back to the dancefloor feeling absolutely refreshed, inspired and at one with everyone around me.. it can be a very powerful tool in group settings.. as can all psychedelics i think the people who give dmt a bad name are the people who sell it to randoms who have no idea what they are getting themselves into... the people who use it purely for visuals and getting 'fucked up'..... the greedy people who wild harvest the tryptamine plants harming their population (a big issue here in aus and it certainly isn't good for dmt's image, especially when its renowned as such a spiritual substance which would sway people from harming the environment) i think if it was called "DMT - Do more trips" then it might be pushing it a bit but its obviously recognizing its spiritual qualities and to anyone who hasn't heard of the drug they will just think its a cool esoteric name for an event.. my 2c

Only spreads a bad vibe if you take the metabolization of this drug too seriously. “The most compelling insight of that day was that this awesome recall had been brought about by a fraction of a gram of a white solid, but that in no way whatsoever could it be argued that these memories had been contained within the white solid. Everything I had recognized came from the depths of my memory and my psyche. I understood that our entire universe is contained in the mind and the spirit. We may choose not to find access to it, we may even deny its existence, but it is indeed there inside us, and there are chemicals that can catalyze its availability.”

I think they are aiming for "DMT changed my life" not "I got so messed up at DMT" "30ft bonfire drum circles & acoustic instruments decorated forest open invitation to shamans psychedelic decorations stretched across the sky" imagine a bunch of kids telling there their friends/family that DMT changed their lives hehe I think its funny "for as long as there is love and light; I will fight for what is right; as a warrior with all my might; I will guarantee that hope shines bright" --Prayer of the Paladin "If you labor, you are a "laborer", If you work on a farm, you are a "farmer", If you flow, you are a "flower""--Forest Sage Community, Love and Passion

I think it's not about not sharing it, but relating the word to a rave party will easily make those kids in your quote(for example) thinking it's a party drug and will go into it like MDMA or whatever else there is for high seeking and may end up their asses handed to them.

Its no big deal. The problem is our own fear. If we act like we have rights its hard for anyone to stop us. If we act totally scared and paranoid and act like what we are doing is wrong, and are so sensative about it, then people will think its wrong and will want to persecute it. My 2 cents You have never been apart from me. You can never depart and never return, for we are continuous, indistinguishable. We are eternal forever

somewhere in south america about 2 years ago there was a weekend festival/rave event that was all about ayahuasca. They sold bottles of ayahuasca and even had curranderos there that ran large group ceremonies every day as well with dj's playing psytrance for the groups.. I thought it was a cool idea. Ayauhasca and DMT, and other entheogens cannot be contained within the traditional contexts forever..as they make their way into our culture we are going to have to develope our own methods and this is a good thing. We are learning, and we are evolving. I would not expect anything less. Nothing bad about that. Long live the unwoke.
