I can't post in the Cacti section yet but i have a question, is it possible to graft a peyote seedling on the side of a san pedro cactus so that the san pedro remains growing vertically? Maybe you can just cut a slit in the side and hit the vascular vains? I know it grows extremely fast grafted onto the pereskiopsis cactus and i'll be getting these cacti as soon as money allows me to, to experiement. And i'm hoping to join the Peyote church in Arizona and legally be able to grow peyote and partake in it as i please.

Live plants. Sustainable, ethically sourced, native American owned.

if i were you i would hold out for the pereskiopsis cutting, its only $3 for a graft-ready cutting (or 5 for $6).

I think there is a chance that a vascular vein will just die and not support the other cactus... also the pachanoi could push the peyote away when they are both growing.
The best and safest solution is definitely using a pereskiopsis.

Thanks fella's i think i'll just stick to the pereskiopsis grafting option, i've heard you can have harvestable peyote button Everyone should check into and become a member of the Peyote Way Church of God and support they're mission and the freedom of humanity!!! very cool stuff (even some neat symbiosis chambers for growing mushrooms and grafted cacti.)
