So it was lsd.....?!

About 3 years ago I once intentionally asked if an LSD source could get me blotters the same size as LSD except not LSD.

Source got back to him with 7 tabs of *very slightly* thicker brown paper looking blotter. Said it was a "tryptamine"

Decided to ingest the stuff on a camping trip with friends and had effects pretty much identical to your experience (although a little less negative, but it still wasn't fun)

Dose=2 tabs

One more vote for 5-meo-amt, get reagents!!

i cant think of any tryptamin except 5meo-amt but i don´t think its effects are anything like acid.

Did it feel speedy or was it similar to acid? duration etc?


The usual suspects 3years ago were probably any of the do-xes or 5meo-amt.

I basically had two experiences with that 7-hit strip.

Keep in mind that I got acid from this source frequently at that point in my life and I deliberately was interested in wondering why I've never got bunk doses. I was hoping it'd be DOx, but once he told me tryptamine I found 5-meo-AMT on erowid, a substance I've never heard of. From what I can tell it's always been LSD—12 hour duration, non-speedy, consumed up to 10 doses without ill effects. I haven't had any of it analyzed by a lab though so really maybe I don't know anything at all ...

I dosed with a close friend after telling him it wasn't LSD but some sort of research chemical, possibly 5-Meo-AMT (he had no idea what this was) and that it probably wasn't going to feel like acid. My friend said his dose was pretty much inactive. I felt a light buzzing with some light OEVs and CEVs. It could be said to have a light amount of speediness, but definitely not the calm stimulation that I feel on phenethylamines (2CB, MDMA, MDA, Mescaline) .. Sort of rougher around the edges. The first experience (1 tab) was unremarkable, almost nothing happened except some slightly tan-tinted visuals and a minor stimulation. About 4 hours before we just started ignoring that we had drugs in our system. I couldn't sleep for a while, but that happens to me on acid also so I can't attribute it to speediness.

The second trip (2 tabs)—lasted 10 hours. A slow climb to almost nothing and it just sort of faded from there over the duration. It was only different slightly. The beginning it felt sort of good .. possibly euphoric, but I don't think so. The come up almost implied the trip wasn't going to suck though. If that makes sense. Once I was on (about +2 hrs) I just got all twisted in the stomach and bowels. More remarkable experience, but still not really enlightening in any way. Not sure what I did with the other hits.

Whatever this substance was it mostly caused gastro-intestinal upset, mild almost un-noticable visuals, and none of the heady high that LSD causes. I wasn't really diving into my psyche I just felt fucked up. Twisted and without cognition. It was bizarre. Not really my cup of tea, but it really was an experiment to challenge my notion at the time that nothing except LSD could realistically fit on blotters that were the same size as I was used to. Back then NBOMes were not on my radar.

I think it was 5-meo-AMT, but since the blotters were small (typical LSD hit to me is about 1/8th an inch) it was very weak which perhaps explains my lack of visuals.
