I'm starting to notice effects from my use of psychedelics that are sometimes somewhat difficult to deal with. The biggest effects I've noticed is the influence on my sexual side.

Ever since I took a high dose of mushrooms combined with 2 grams of rue in January my skin feels like a reversed fur coat. Difficult to explain, but it feels like I've got a soft layer on the inside of my skin. When I smoke weed or take psychedelics this effects is potentiated and adds to a general sense of well being.

Another very noticeable effect is that the head of my penis appears to be glowing. And it seems to be doing that constantly. My orgasms are more intense since that trip and when I'm high on cannabis is even more intense.

While I don't really have a problem with the increased drive, increased orgasm intensity and a general more intense sexual experience. I do have a bit of a problem with my glowing penis. Yes, I said glowing penis, because it's constantly present and distracting me from whatever I'm doing. I at times rub one(without the use of internet pornography) which reduces the urge a bit but not completely.

Perhaps there's an imbalance causing this, because I just have to deal with the changes that psychedelics provide. Anyone else willing to share their (sexual) changes due to psychedelics?

How is it a distraction if you can't see it ? Do you feel it 'glowing' ?

Nonetheless, I find mushrooms to be the most erotic/sexual entheogen; perhaps you should revisit the Head Mushroom for some insight into your mushroom-head ?

Does is glow to the point of lighting up things in the dark? This is kind of interesting given the fact that it seems all these things your experiencing link to sex. This could suggest that flashbacks or HPPD actually mean something.

Yes, I'm being serious. It's not actual visibly glowing but it has a constant 'glowing' sensation. I think it's best described with how the head of your penis feels after a long, wild and rough round of sex. Tingling sensations, warmth. To me it feels a lot like that.

The strain I used was Sclerotia Atlantis and I took 10 grams. The sensations seems to have lessened since yesterday but that took several sessions of self-pleasure and it's still lingering present. Perhaps I should re-visit the mushroom kingdom this weekend and see what else there is. I have P. Cubensis Cambodia in my freezer, perhaps I'll take a 4 ~ 4.5 gram dose(cross-tolerance from last monday's trip) on sunday and see what else there is to explore.

Ok well maybe glowing was the wrong term to use. I have no doubt if you waited awhile to take any more mushrooms this sensation would diminish remarkably. I have had similiar things happen, yet the cause is unknown. And most definitely not from hallucinogens. It's probably just a change in your body chemistry causing this increase in sex drive.

idk about the glowing adjective but I've definitely been aroused while on shrooms+rue. It was only 1g of a 3x rue extract, and 2g cubes. I'm lightweight and have a monster metabolism, and it was only my second trip--it was still almost too much haha. Everyone who took rue that night experienced their next level in tripping.

I had a very euphoric time and caught myself looking in the mirror for like 20 minutes. That's when I just lost it and stumbled out of the bathroom forgetting to pull my pants back up. I only remember like 2ms of the next 10 minutes where I was walking around my party naked. But someone mentioned that when they gave me a friendly push toward my bedroom, that my body writhed and wiggled away from their touch as if it were highly sensitive. I guess my eyes were super dilated and I was in this E-state. Very cool, I didn't return to consciousness until about 20 minutes later in my room when I literally pissed myself from an erotic vision I had. Once I relieved myself some of the tryptamine seemed to leave my system cause I was back to base after that.

for me I have lost interest in sex recently, I wouldn't say I am completely devoid of sexual feelings but I just really am not that interested anymore, even masturbation has lost it's magic for me and I rarely partake. My wife is having a hard time (or not...) dealing with this. I have tried to explain to her that I just don't feel sexual anymore. sure we have sex but it's not like it was a year ago (just before I tried DMT for the 1st time).

I can't explain it, but I just don't see sex as a very important part of life and my relationship anymore. I'm digging into things I feel far outweigh the joy sex brings - things like who I am, where I am going, what I want for my wife and myself etc... not to mention the plethora of other aspects DMT (and general psy use) bring to existence.

Sure I enjoy a good old romp with the wife, but I just don't feel as aroused as I used to and I think it may be because I am looking deeper into myself and my surroundings than I ever did before, and sex is just a distraction atm. It is becoming a bit of a thorn in my side as my wife obviously thinks I am just not attracted to her anymore and I really am, but I am honestly just not easily aroused or able to easily have sex anymore. I am 30 atm and I read somewhere that men can experience a slump in sex drive between 25 and 45ish. so maybe that's it?

Not sure what to do about it all, but if I were you I would enjoy being highly sexual, just because atm I kinda wish I was.

You know most likely your loss in libido has nothing to do with hallucinogens. In all my long term relationships I reached this stage and had to jump start my libido to get it up and running again. Each time I became extremely uninterested in having sex. I would rarely ever become aroused enough to pursue it. I would even avoid it completely. It was so bad that I didnt ever really feel sexually attracted to my gf. Sleeping seemed better than sex.

This is a completely normal thing that many many people experience. You gotta find a way to get it going again. Try new things or add something. It's different for each person.

Psychedelics have changed me on many personal levels. I was always curious about same-sex interactions however after psychedelic use it appears I became more readily accepting of such. More comfortable with the things that turn me on and myself in general. It also helped me to forgive someone who, to put it lightly, forced themselves on me when I was defenselessly intoxicated(still working on this one though).

As far as having a large sex drive this is something I think a lot of men and women can understand. I think I've always had a high sex-drive though. This is common for bisexual people, or so I am told. It could help maybe to try to gain awareness of the stimulation you feel. if it's undesirable excercize will-power and try to focus attention else-were. Maybe on your breathing, a problem your working on, etc. Personally I just run with it and think about how I want to *&%# everyone in a room. I see no reason for being a monk, and it's not like I'm messing with myself infront of people or something. Just fantasizing.

Psychedelics have changed my societal programmed viewpoints towards sex in general as well. Thus being that I still regard sex as an extremely intimate action between two or more people. However, I don't hold it as much on the pedestal of moral expectations that many do, and I used too.

Psychedelics have certainly increased my awareness of this body. That fuzzy skin feeling is something I think I can understand. Reminiscent of a small burn wound that is almost healed but is still warm to the touch. I have no idea why that feels good... For me its kind of like a slightly warm tingly sensation usually in my arms that spreads around my joints in a circular fashion and just feels great.

Not so sure about the glowing penis thing but yea those drugs commonly do make sex more enjoyable and a higher orgasm climax. It's probably also important to remember the hormones, and other chemicals, that are released during intercourse/masturbation are aikin to drugs themselves. It's very easy to get into a 'distractive' or 'escapist' habit of inducing an orgasm at times when you are 'supposed' to be doing other things.

I find one of the only ways I can get my mind to be truly clear is to fulfill my sexual appetite fairly regularly, once in the morning and once at night. There's nothing wrong with jacking off, even if ghandi/jesus tries to make you feel guilty for it. It's only when you can't manage your life does something like his become a problem, in such a case, this is obviously pretty rare.

YES! That's exactly what I think I'm describing. It really resonates and feels good in my arms and hands.

As far as PrimalWisdom goes, I think your diminishing sex drive could be sought elsewhere than psychedelics. There are many factors that can negatively impact a man's sex drive. But perhaps your current state of self-reflection does indeed come with a reduce drive for sex and will spring back up once you've completed it.

Haha maybe so, but I have been much more open with it not only to others but myself as well. I've realized that not really giving a damn what people think is actually really healthy physically and mentally. On a side note my drive has increased. A lot.
