In Mars's tek for extraction he says
"Put the ground up Mimosa in a 3-Liter crockpot, then fill it with the water-vinegar solution. Stir well and turn it on "high". After 2 hours, remove the crockpot ceramic liner, hold the lid on slightly offset, and pour off most of the liquid into a 1-gallon wide-mouthed glass or stainless container."

All SWIM sees is a dark sludge, SWIM has no "liquid". What's the deal? SWIM followed everything to the T so far?

Please Help

Well, SWIY needs liquid - so add some water, reheat, and then decant the liquid - the ph won't change much by adding water (doubling the water will change the ph by a tenth at most). Marsofold recommends doing this 3 times or more - then combine all of the liquid and either use as is or reduce. It is generally recommended that when using powdered material, the final "decant" will be more like a filter. Pour the liquid off, pour the sludge into cheesecloth or a large piece of cotton or muslin and squeeze out as much liquid as possible.

Thank's, SWIM's in the process atm so SWIM will try that now and report back.

SWIM was hoping that following a tek to the T would suffice. Crying or very sad

Unfortunately there are always variables that we can't control. =P but now you know what to do to fix this one. =P Go get'em!
All of the posts made are hypothetical and for educatiunal/entertainmint purposes only. SWIM (a fictional chaaracter) and his activities are completely fictional.

Yes, that was the problem. SWIM knows all crock pots have different "high" settings, SWIM was hoping SWIM didn't have one with a really high temp setting... SWIM does apparently. SWIM says thank's for the help, all should be good from here on out.

Yeah, Pretty much turn the pot on high to bring it to a boil and then turn it down slightly to keep it slightly rolling. BUT you got to keep on checking it from time to time and keep adding little bits of vin/H20 solution IF it happens to get pretty low. Smile

SWIMS friend is also doing Marsofold Smile
