Hi all. So I have been lurking here for several weeks, logged into a chat a few times, and now I feel inclined to introduce myself Smile. I am interested in consciousness exploration and mindful living, of course-- that is mostly why I'm here. I'm also a writer, currently working on finishing my first novel, as well as a vipassana practitioner. Over the past year meditation has become my primary spiritual practice, and I have found it to be just as powerful as my psychedelic experiences.

I'm well experienced in mushrooms and LSD but I haven't had any psychedelics for the past two years. I've never experienced DMT but lately I've been feeling the familiar pull toward journeying Smile. I have a rare summer off this summer, and I plan to commemorate the completion of my novel with a brew of ayahuasca. I'm looking forward to a few months of rigorous meditation, writing, and simple home-cooked meals. I feel this season may be a good opportunity for me to experience ayahuasca!

Anyway, I have obsessively read much of the forums and the wiki, but I still have much to learn about these plants. Thanks for creating this community, everyone!

STS is a community for people interested in growing, preserving and researching botanical species, particularly those with remarkable therapeutic and/or psychoactive properties.

You'll definitely learn the most from direct experience. Some past work with other psychedelics will be a good thing when you take that journey. Don't be too shocked if you return from your Aya trip only to find that your novel is in fact not finished at all! Psychedelics can have a massive impact on creative work.

We've got at least a few other writers on board here. I've published books but it's all instructional material for artists. There's a thread in music/art/literature discussing psychedelic novels- perhaps you too belong on that list.

Welcome, glad to have you here!
