SWIM did an A/B. SWIM heated up both the solvent (Naptha) and the Acid/MHRB solution - (SWIM used roughly 1lb of Mimosa). The first pull resulted in an extremely cloudy and yellow solvent. SWIM attempted a freeze precipitation but found that only a few pebble sized yellow crystals fell out. SWIM is confident they are n-oxide. SWIM is now wondering what to do with 250ml of n-oxide saturated solution. SWIM knows the great value of n-oxide, and wants to pull it out somehow. Any ideas? SWIM imagines that evaping this without heat could take a long time, but what choices does he/she have?

SWIM says pour it in a dish and place a fan very close to it. The closer, the better. It should evaporate in no time!
All of the posts made are hypothetical and for educatiunal/entertainmint purposes only. SWIM (a fictional chaaracter) and his activities are completely fictional.

n oxide is not soluble in naphtha so its probably not n oxide but yellow dmt crystals.

in any case, you should have pre-evapped it before sticking in the freezer, even if it was already yellow and cloudy. Evap to a fourth of the original amount (or even further) with a fan blowing on it. Maybe some thin cloth on top to prevent dust from falling in. Then stick in the freezer

What is the yellow stuff if not n-oxide?

I was under the impression that the naptha would pick up the n-oxide, but it's more likely to pick up dmt. That's why the first pull is usually clear, right? Later pulls contain more yellow (n-oxide?) because there's less non-n-oxide dmt. Also heating the naptha and wine jug seem to make the naptha more predisposed to become yellow when mixing, so i assumed that was also making n-oxide more soluble in it.

N-oxide is very insoluble in naphtha. Any N-oxide in naphtha can only be caused by heating that which has DMT in it which shall degrade to its N-oxide and fall out of the naphtha and become an oily residue on the bottom of the vessel.

To pull N-oxide a stronger solvent must be used.

Most of the yellow pigment is probably just oils from the plant.

Most plants seem to show up yellow oils when being used for extraction.

Have you read the recrystalization method posted for separating DMT from N-oxide?

Following the steps in that post, I have been able to take yellow spice from yellow naptha, and separate it to white spice and yellow oil. The yellow oil is supposedly n-Oxide (it does eventually solidify after all the naptha has evaporated out.. putting it in the freezer also speeds up the solidification).

I have smoked what I thought was the n-oxide, and the effects were consistent with what people have described the n-oxide to be... a slightly longer journey, that is somehow a little different.

How is this recrystalization working if it's not N-oxide? How is the yellow layer that sinks to the bottom effective?

Personally (from experience), I think n-Oxide is soluble in the naptha.. just less soluble than DMT. As different kinds of napthas have different ratios of hydrocarbons and are essentially different things, maybe it is more soluble in some kinds than others. I use VM&P sunnyside.

Maybe your experience is different because of the type of naptha used.

Do you have any sources besides forum posts that confirm n-Oxide is insoluble in naptha? Or if not, which forum posts or what reasoning do you have for this affirmation?

SWIM has had similar experience with yellow naptha that won't precipitate. He actually has some now that he's sure has dmt in it but it won't crystalize out. He's evaped it down to about 20% of it's original amount and still nothing. He has had it happen before especially after doing A/B extractions that all he ended up with was oil. What he's thinking about doing this time is evaping down to oil and then dissolving into acetone then adding FASA to see if he can get some Fumerate. I will post SWIM's results
