@endlessness
well it depends what you mean by "governments" and "study".
A lot of "medical" research is funded by the government and such results are studied by the government as well.
The thing with DMT is that it's phenomenological implications are beyond Health, therefore it demands further research that may not be so ethical and therefore classified.
CIA scientists working with soldier's minds inside a bunker finding out that they can actually get in contact with alien technology and using that knowledge to control humanity? Probably, hahaha.
Government officials realizing that if DMT becomes legal it would mean trouble? You bet your ass.

Just curious, are you talking about the government officials who approved Strassman's study in the 90's, opening the tap once again for psychedelic research? Or, the government officials who unanimously ruled in favor of the religious use of Ayahuasca in Gonzales v. UDV? Oh wait! You mean the government officials at the BLM who facilitate one of the largest psychedelic festivals in the world, don't you? "Facts do not cease to exist because they are ignored." -A.Huxley

nah, I mean the government officials who made Strassman wait a freaking eternity to do such studies and the government officials who finance DEA and the war on drugs. Those ones.

what's your point? That less 1% of government pigs are trying to make DMT legal?

Whether the big wigs do or do not want drugs, the fact is that the money made from incarcerations is huge. Creating a problem and also being the one selling its fix is something uncle Sam is very good at. Make a problem, sell the solution. Be your own competition, you never lose. Well, y'know, it's like this experience that I had was like, y'know, erm, it was kind of the most profound experience I've had in me life, like

Education vs. Incarceration The question is when $2 billion is spent...where does it go? (Hint: The same place as that federal prison funding that vastly outstrips educational funding) The answer: private prisons and goods produced by the prison-industrial complex and thereby into the hands of those capitalists who own stakes in the prison market. Granted, the earlier poster never attempted to make any cogent arguments about the ties between government officials and the corporations who own these prisons/products/labor (although rather coherent arguments can and have been made) and wound up talking about some governmental bogeyman...but there is merit to the general thrust of his sentiment, imo. I find that many of these claims are leaning towards conspiracy theories. My argument against that is not that this site doesn´t allow CT´s, but rather that such theory´s make it seem as if there is something like a homogenic global or national elite...like 'the government'.
The government is not a single group of people with clearly defined interests.
Most people who work for a government, even the ones up high on the top of the pyramid, have never heard of DMT.
I don´t believe that DMT has the potential to be used for 'dark purposes' as suggested here in this thread: direct military, financial or economical uses.
I don´t believe that DMT enables one to see the future, locate enemy troops (remote viewing) or to unleash psychic energy (like in: staring at goats).
I don´t believe 'staring at goats' is something that will ever be weaponised.
I also don´t think that extraterrestials have ever contacted any government here on earth.
The most important argument for my scepticism: even here at the nexus, probably one of the highest concentrations of DMT users in the world, no-one has ever been able to proof the existance of hyperspace-entity´s, when the site was attacked, we didn´t manage to either foresee the attacks or to get the site back online with pure psychic energy..

Probably yes, but does it really matter that much? Don't they study almost everything anyway...? At least in the united states...

Agree to disagree, really. While I'm on the fence about many things I can't see, touch, taste, or feel, you have to admit that just because you can't do these things doesn't mean something isn't real. I've never seen a ghost but can't deny the existence of spirits caught between realms.
And this isn't the platform to bring up religious commentaries or political agendas, but ask a Christian why they believe in a God they've never seen? Some things are just faith based and sometimes they're backed up scientifically. I can list a whole bunch of beliefs and disbeliefs too but there's always going to be someone standing in line to challenge it...
It boils down to only a select group who'll ever know the true inner workings of what's been going on for years and years and we'll never be privy to that information.
But anyone thinking we're the only life forms in this infinite space should consider doing a little more research about astronomy. Whether its little green men, insectoid beings, elephant people, or spirit energy vibrating on a higher evolutionary frequency, you've got to surrender to the fact that the reality we're accustomed and conditioned to isn't the only one. We just haven't evolved spirituality to the upper densities yet.

We just haven't evolved spirituality to the upper densities yet. I don´t doubt that extraterrestial life exists. But that´s not where the north koreans have their nuclear technology from. Again: WE haven´t been able to stop the DDOS attacks with our own psychic energy. It took some investments in solid, unspiritual and very terrestial technology. While if indeed DMT onlucks pathways to other worlds and powers...if any group of people should have been able to foresee the attacks, to prevent them and to localise where they where coming from, it should have been us...more than 10.000 DMT users and not one of them managed to foresee and prevent the DDos attacks with his psychic energy. When the site was offline, it did affect us: we wheren´t able to simply switch from digital to telepathic communication to keep the site up and running. If DMT realy does unleash something outerwordly in us or bring us into contact with some higher spiritual realm, then our community realy should have been able to do those things. I leave it to the believers to add a smiley to this text, without using their hands. If at some moment, a smiley appears in this text, then that would be solid proof that all of this telepathy stuff exists or that i made a bad joke in a state of drunkenness. I´m open to wathever there may be. Openness and scepticism can go hand in hand. I wouldn´t have bought any of those facebook shares for instance, because i think it´s waay to hyped to be of any real value , but if any of you would make a load of money with them, then i congratulate you with having had the knowledge that i apparently lacked.

Huh? I really don't want to trudge down the overly beaten road of debating about the legitimacy telepathy, and I'm not claiming to know the true nature of these things.. But if we are somehow tapping into some other dimension where things like telepathy etc are sometimes possible, why in the world would you think this automatically implies that we should have been able to masterfully harness and channel these abilities by now if so? This just makes no sense to me and seems like a ridiculous assumption, so sorry if i'm misinterpreting you here..but holding up our inability to switch from digital to telepathic communication whenever we want as some sort of proof that this isn't at all what is in part possible via hyperspace just makes no sense to me. I mean i'm sure through practice and dedication some here may be able to put together beautiful pieces on piano, or write a best selling novel..but just because we all could potentially have that latent ability lying dormant in us doesn't automatically imply that if it really is possible then it should have come to full bloom within us already
