An introduction essay? Well I wasn't prepared for this. I suppose I don't mind going along with it though.
About myself, I am a married mother of three, I live in Northern Illinois and I have been a practicing Minister (Unitarian) for 15 years. I also work in 3d Graphics, primarily 3d Modeling.
I came to this site searching for a community of people familiar with DMT and its use.
I actually came across this drug when doing research on Near Death Experiences. A person suggested that many people achieve remarkably similar experiences with an ayahuasca brew. When I first read about it, I put the idea aside, for nearly a year now actually. Although it was definitely a huge interest to me, my NDE research still came first and I knew I would have to invest a significant amount of research time into this before I would be able to try it.
I have experimented with many other hallucinogens, but from what I understand none of them compare to the spiritual experience obtained through this. So now I am finally getting around to learning everything I need to know before I proceed.
My actual reason for joining the forum was to ask about reputable suppliers for Mimosa. I am actually familiar with fabric dying using natural sources, and this is a bark often used for dye. So all of the suppliers I have found, seem to focus on that aspect. Obviously I want to be sure that my source is good for this other purpose as well. I am far from knowledgeable on all the ins and outs of this right now. (Hopefully I will learn a lot from your forums.)
Is it acceptable to ask about a reputable supplier on this forum? If not, could someone maybe send me a private message? I see the warning, I do not know if this Plant is considered a drug, and if it is I apologize.
Thanks for reading!

Hi there. I'm new here too, but have found the Suppliers section to be a decent place to begin your search. I too ended up going with a vendor who primarily sells Mimosa as a dye material. this one. The other uses for Mimosa you speak of (my intention as well), was met nicely by this supplier. 1kg Mexican mimosa ordered. 750g in my extraction process so far w/ approx 7.5g product following Noman's tek. It's awesome to hear you are Unitarian. Though agnostic myself, universalism was the closest I ever came to seeing general Christianity in a positive light. Although I have no experience yet with breakthrough's, I have read many many others, and my only advice based off countless reports I've read is that you shouldn't go into this with preconceived notions about your trip to hyperspace, especially concerning God/Gods or their nature, or even yourself ![Smile](/forum/images/emoticons/smile.png) Welcome to the forums, safe journeys! “The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing.” ~Socrates (470 BC-399 BC)

Heya. Thanks for the suppliers link ![Smile](/forum/images/emoticons/smile.png) I will be going through Sonoran Song and another that is suggested in the Basic Chemistry thread. As far as the religion goes, I'm not sure I have gotten close at all to seeing Christianity in a positive light. Aside from the theory that it is a great path for people who want basic/easy faith. For me it's just not that easy to set aside rational thinking. I'm fond of the agnostic viewpoint. I'd much rather someone say "I don't know" than for them to say "I do know, I'm right, your wrong, eat that!" ![Smile](/forum/images/emoticons/smile.png) As far as my upcoming experience - I am open to anything that happens. I just hope to learn. I have an absolute belief in a non-anthropomorphic supreme energy (God lol), so I tend to think that means there is less of a chance that is something I will encounter. I just don't need the validation. I just want to embrace the experience, in whatever way it comes to me. In all honesty I think I may have ordered the wrong kind of Ayahuasca Vine anyway. After reading the chemistry thread I think I did, so my first experience may not be much of anything. Oh well, I'm perfectly fine with a journey towards the end goal.

Welcome Velocity, from another Illinoisan (south, but originally Chicago), married parent, seeker, user of 3D software. There are a few 3D folks here, although nobody that does it for a living to my knowledge (look up Culture and Society, Music/Art/Literature, and you'll find some interesting stuff there... Post some of your own works please! While you are in your probationary period, the Open Discussion area would be the place for that.) A few of us have been playing around with multimedia online collaborative projects... Hey, the extraction info here is world-class, but we have an artistic side too!
There have been a number of extremely interesting threads about God in the past couple weeks... Look through the first 2-3 pages in Open Discussion and you'll find a few of them. You'd likely find these topics to be fascinating.
Glad you're here, you sound like someone with some great stuff to bring to the table.

I took a minute to look up the artwork you spoke of Guyomech. I did find the art section in culture, some very interesting stuff in there. I'd love to get involved in some collaborations in this sense.
I do not do much actual 'art' - not for lack of desire, just lack of time I suppose. I do have some though. Mostly in that arena I work in modeling, morphs and textures. Whatever is currently selling best really.
It's actually pretty easy to make a living off of it, just have to pay attention to market trends. Most people just like to diddle around as a hobby and those hobbyists spend a good deal purchasing already created items. I capitalize on that.
I use: Photoshop (of course lol), C4D, PoserPro2012, Vue, Hexagon, Bryce and Vue. I want very badly to get a copy of Zbrush, but the budget has not allowed for that just yet. I create primarily for the Poser community. I also do graphics work outside of this 'virtual' area.
I am waiting patiently to get full membership approval. After that I will post some of my work. Thanks for the welcome, to you and Compound!
