Now that I've discovered electronic ambient spacemusic, it fills my every waking hour. BUT when I was a sensitive teenager I pretty much worshiped Opeth, and their masterful balance of beautiful melodies and dark riffs. And a vocalist who has the ability to go from angelic singing to demonic growling.

Black water park FTW.

I think they lost me after ghost reveries though.

Always an amazing voice all the same Smile

For me, I guess it would be a toss up between Field Music and Pugwash. Things just haven't been the same since XTC stopped putting albums out.

This is an easy one. for psychedelic music:

Ozric Tentacles, nothing else even compares (for me) not even shpongle doesnt even come close.
Ozric is my sound shaman, and holds a very special place in my heart.

They also melt your face with live instrumentation, something alot of these other trippy electo acts cant say at all.

They only get better with age, and have such a rich history, your missing out if you have never had an entheogenic journey to their best albums.

Cheers ozric, keep right on rockin into the future!

Edit: I have no idea how to make the video show up here, so if it doesnt, just click the link!

Without a doubt it has to be Quintron & Ms. Pussycat.

Hell yeah moondance,

Jumping john i believe his name was. He sure did add an exiting energy exp. live (although that was before my days, i never saw him live).

I think after many listens, that their new album Paper Monkeys is the best one they have ever done.

If i had to recomend just 3 ozric albums it would be Paper Monkeys, Curious Corn, and Waterfall Cities.

Cheers moondance! like your name Pleased

Hmm... Hard to say. Anathema have been blowing me away with their recent music:

Lovely acoustic version of Thin Air 0- cracking when it gets going.

So, yeah, either them or Porcupine Tree for me I guess!

In the late 90's Ozric was incredible, esp with Seaweed on keys and Jon on flute ! I saw them quite a few times. These days, they're just not the same band. Most of the original members have left to form other projects like Eat Static but they're made some very cool music in their long career. Erpland will always hold a special place in my heart.

My favorite band still touring and making music is PHISH.

Favorite of all time. The GRATEFUL DEAD Big grin
