I was always deadset on taking my dmt voyages alone. The other night was my first time partaking in about 1 month, and I promised some of my younger friends (experienced) I would come over and trip with them.
It was a group of 4 of us. First we smoalked a few bowls of syrian rue, followed by a few bumps each of some fumarate, and concluded 15 min. later passing the freebase vape, and a bowl of changa.
I thought I overdid it for a few mins. as I got sucked into the wall, and stopped seeing the people I was with.... Had to use the 'just go with it' technique. Turned out we all were at that point. But as we came too, we had very deep, intellectual conversation. It actually turned out being one of my best experiences.
I went through my honeymoon period this winter, and was actually to the point where I was bored with it. So glad I tried the group thing.
I have an overactive imagination, and am certifiably insane. So anything I post is purely fictional.

Yeah, the group setting can be special in its own way with its unique dynamics. While I do prefer to fly solo, there are many individuals who take comfort in knowing they won't be going it alone. You say you smoked a few bowls of syrian rue. Did you simply grind it up and put it in a bowl? I think I tried this the first time I got my hands on syrian rue and nearly puked from the wretched taste.

Prefer solo as well for many reasons I'm not even aware of, It seems whenever I use in a group setting I'm too preoccupied with their mind state, energy, safety, well being, thoughts, and experience. Which is a huge buzzkill. However its worth the worry to share something as this with friends,(people I've known for a substantial amount of time) also seems as if the experience is not that intimate when using in a group, well atleast for me. Doesn't seem as powerful or insightful versus alone.
Its in your head

I consider DMT to be a not social drug, athough I have used my girlfriend to guide me as if I were in a dream. I would experiment with it but I know the feeling of losing control and having to just ride it out.. Good luck
