When the police try to make you talk and you do, they can take things you said and warp them in to whatever will help them prove you are guilty.
The example in that video ^^^^ said something like that the person "I didn't even like the guy", then they took that as a reason to charge him. That he must have done the crime, because he abviously doesn't like him, he admitted that!

People here are telling you that they will have a very hard time pinpointing you guilty if you say nothing. Plus it would be very expensive process to send you to court and come up with evidence. If you say nothing, they have nothing...

well I live at my GF's place so theres no way that they can know where my GF lives. They did not come back to my house either.

I think that they just wanted to make sure it wasnt a lab or some sort.

anyhow I WILL use the advice you guys have told me. I didnt knew that I didnt have to answer anything to cops, now I know!

You really think the police would stop by like that just to see if you had a lab? You have a very paranoid view on how the police work my friend. If they thought you had a lab they would do their research get a warrant and bust you. They don't just stop by and see if you have a lab.

If the cops were wanting to know if you were making meth it would NOT go down like this:

Cops: hi you ordered lye, are you making meth or drugs?

You: no of course not. In makin soap!

Cops: oh ok. That makes sense. Thanks for clearing that up!

You should find out why they came to your house. Also, don't assume that the cops work the way you were thinking. They aren't thinking right now "we can't find this guy he is up to no good!" and if you don't answer there questions so what if they think that it is because your doing something illegal. If they are looking for you for those reasons they already think your doing something. You aren't going to change their mind with witty conversation. Trying to convince the police of anything is not going to change anything. That's the mindset you want in court and that's what a lawyer is for. Never try to be witty and come up with an alibi.

Most likely there will be holes in your story you didn't see before hand. And then you won't have a case.

You ever think that maybe that cop came to deliver you a restraining order or maybe someone is suing you or your getting evicted?

if the cops ever came asking for me, I would not leave this till they come again.

I would go seek out this cop, or find out the gist of it, do not leave it hanging.

If you go there and they say they want to question you, ask regarding what, and if you feel uneasy AT ALL, SAY NO I WANT TO SPEAK TO LEGAL REPRESENTATION FIRST.

It sounds like you really do not want them turning up unannounced, go sort it bro.

I haven't read all the replies, but ime a plain clothes policeman coming to your house with documents sounds like a sheriff of the court delivering a summons for a traffic fine or something similar - this happens in South Africa ALOT.

Hope it's something as boring as an unpaid parking ticket or something.

I have called the police departement. They have no record for me. I asked them if they knew why a detective came to my place and the polive couldnt say why. I have no way to reach that police men.

This is indeed quite shocking because now I will have to hide all my psychedelics not in my place. Also I was planning to start growing my shrooms, I guess that this will also have to be put on hold. All of this is a bummer!

One of your friends played a "prank".

My advice, find out who's bright idea it was, and begin seduction of his wife. When his first born looks like you, smile knowingly. Also, these "friends" are knuckleheads--quit telling them about ethnobotanical mail orders and just keep mum.

If whoever came was a federal agent or even from the local sheriffs department, the local police would probably have no record of that. I would still be careful for a few more weeks, then forget about it, but always be careful and for sure NEVER leave anything out "in plain sight."
