Was at a hippy festival and there were these Didgeridoo players, real good doing it for yearsssss.

And they do this thing with their didgis, it is didgi chakra clearing balancing.
energy healing vibrations.

You kneel or lay down, and they direct their playing onto you.

So my mate smoked a bong of CHANGA*, 'a nice cone but nothing major' and kneeled down, and they placed their didgeridoos really close to skin, one at his forehead and one at the base of his spine and they played and slowly moved up and down oppositely.

He had eyes closed the whole time.

He said it was hard to explain, but he could feel and see the vibrations like wind whirling into his body and then his conscious was ripped out through his tail bone and forehead and he was turned into clouds blowing around up into the didgis and aerated out again.

He was blown away, I SO WANT TO TRY THIS NEXT TIME THE OPPORTUNITY ARISES. Razz

sounds nice

once while at a small festival i stumbled upon a small wooden 'sound dome' that you could meditate in, which had a giant crystal singing bowl inside. while in there vibing with the bowl, some chap came up and stuck his didgeridoo into the dome. It was quite the experience

universecannon, that 'Wooden Sound Dome' sounds an awesome idea, it would resonate to vibrations just like a Didgeridoo wouldn't it.

Would we be able to build one you think? Did it look very complex in design?

I am going to google sound dome plrrrrrrr

HUH that wasn't just a wooden box was it lol

It sounds like they design them with physics and stuff, designed around the shape and motion of sound waves, especially to capture the sound and manipulate it, some hold the sound inside like an echo caught, some direct the vibrations like a 'ventriloquist', man these things are high tech, Wooden Sound Domes, it is the wood to.

very interesting.

i bought a cheap bamboo didgeridoo and I love it. The circular breathing technique and the vibrations really do put you in a very relaxed meditative state of mind. I have played in on mushrooms before but never tried anytyhing like this, will have to look into it.

I find didgeridoos to have a wonderful impact on a journey. I've tried playing on LSA and Mushrooms (both Amanitas and Psilocybin) - the vibrations bring on beautiful emotions and positive thoughts. I find that playing helps tremendously when one is caught in a thought loop, as i find the vibrations to rid the brain of any thoughts - bringing on a meditative state. I had a friend play a drone on one of my didgeridoos while i experienced a sub-breakthrough dose and found it to be a little bit overwhelming (although i guess in a good sense). The vibrations rapidly shifted the sub-level of the hyperspace, creating beautiful images and sceneries but with a sense of overwhelming intensity (more so than usual). The didgeridoo is definitely a tool to be explored while journeying.

Oh the one I was in wasn't anything fancy or complex. Just some small little thing some hippies in the woods made. You couldnt even stand in it since there was just enough room for the singing bowl and a seated person

ahh thats what you call it, a thought loop. Thats a good way to put it. I only played it breifly (actually this was almost exacly a year ago + or - a week) at a small music festival here after eating a pretty tasty chocolate. This was a pretty chill and very positive journey from start to end and the didge just reinforced my "on top of the world" feeling. I could deffinitely see how it could be almost overwhelming though, it is a strange instrument. There is something primal about that vibration. I read Mckenna's "True Hallucinations" recently, and I wonder if the power of the vibrations from the didgeridoo might have something to do with the strange phenomena that happend when Dennis did the throat singing thing.

That very interesting! I even read or watch a video about how back in ancient Kemet (Egypt), when they were sick and they would go to the hospital in the temples they would lay down and use sound and vibrations to heal themselves.
