I say live and let live, don't take life to seriously, no one makes it out alive. I'm definitely trying to enhance an prolong my life here. We shouldn't be so quick to judge one another, after all we don't really have any control over any of this, we can control our aspirations and what we do with our free time, but who can say for certain they really have that much control over the way they feel and their opinions. That's why it is best to just respect each other, that to me is the meaning of it all. Love corrects all our wrongs by correcting our perceptions of our situations and each other.

What exactly is the original post about? Is it a question or an implication?

I would say its positive to use DMT or other psychedelics to sacrifice selfishness, egoism, greed, hate, anger, lust and sorrow in exchange for forgiveness, patience, love, and blissful awareness.

Sorry to get off topic here for a minute but I like your picture ntwhtyouknw. If we had more P-funk in all of our lives, the whole world would live in harmony and enlightenment would be given to us all without having to sacrifice our Rams to Asator Big grin (in my opinion anyway)

I think that there is a misunderstanding. What I am asking is not in the domain of DMT but on the search for evolution of the self. This drug does have value but in the grand scheme of things it is minor compared to many other things. What I intended to ask, and in retrospect unclearly, is how serious do you take your evolutionary development.

I myself am trying to get a deeper grasp on the mindset of those who take such a extreme measure as to let go of self control and leap into the unknown in a most extravagant manner. I have often though of DMT as a magnet for those who were willing to go farther than most humans would ever be willing to go. I know from life experience the idea of taking a reality warping drug instigates a great deal of fear in much of mankind. That unknowing of who you are and what will come, the loss of control is more than most are willing to take.

IMHO DMT is a great leap of faith. It can bring value or unyielding torment. One never knows until they step through that door. What I was trying to ask was of those who have opened this door to the mind is how important is this path (Evolution of self).

If you don't sin, Jesus died for nothing.

It's just part of the story, is anything to be taken seriously?
It was the fabled year 2012. Within the seemingly doomed and feeble slave-species of homo-sapien sapien a minute percentage began experimenting with various forms of psycho-active plant allies and thought manifestation techniques. Unbeknownst to them, this would be the birthing of a new sub-species, the highest form of Life in the universe. With the assistance of these timeless plant teachers a new race was born, a race without boundaries, physical or mental, a race without judgement or violence. Divinity had descended upon the inconspicuous planet of Earth and cosmic-man was born.

I am a case that I am curious about. I smoke dmt everyday. For me it is not a drug it is a lifestyle. I never taste it, it goes down smooth and I've mastered hitting the pipe while others have difficulty. I do it a couple of times a day. I play music on dmt, I drive on dmt, I have been in class on dmt. I bascially just live dmt.

Well,I don't think you should be doing drugs.Drugs are bad,m'kay.

At first I didn't take it very seriously. I've had a few days of involuntary sobriety though and I've spent it researching the subject extensively. Very interesting stuff, definitely changed my attitude towards entheobotanicals
I hope to meet some like-minded people on my journey Very happy

Ahh... now that the question has been clarified. I take my evolutionary development very seriously. It's number one priority on my list. I'm not saying that I don't wander off the path here and there, but my intention is to stay true to it. Anything that adds to this plan is welcome... anything that detracts from it will be hurdled, or pushed aside.

I believe that without consciously trying to evolve, we are literally physically modifying our brains to become better at anything we DO. Everytime someone researches dmt they are becoming better at learning about it. I am becoming better at responding to posts on this website. In the same way doing DMT and engaging in this seeker lifestyle we are evolving to become better at it. There is no doubt we are always becoming better at adapting to our environment. What we can try to ensure through self awareness is being in control of our own evolution.

If your interested in nuerochemistry, the brain is a network of approx 100 billion connections that all fire rapidly at a single seperate point in time, there is no symmetry or constant by which signals are fired, they are always different and always based on your surroundings and what your doing.

Every past nuerochemical interaction to this point makes up what you might consider consciousness and working memory, but all these past nuerochemical arrangements are past and your continual firing of nuerons will likely never be identical to arrangements the past.

Thus we are a new and ever-changing person every moment.

Be aware of where you are, who you think you are(and why?) and what your doing and what you want, then do it. That is self aware evolution, if we could all do this we would make a lot more progress than the ways we choose to evolve ourselves, (television ect.)

I just want all psychedelics (and all drugs, actually) to be available for people to buy them legally.

if we are to take seriously the idea that these things (and self-evolution in general) are mind expanding, then given the state of collective human consciousness today and its reflective impact on the state of the world: i don't understand how one could not center this work in they're life after having that realization. Now more than ever expanding human awareness is vital. We are on the brink, i think

So for me i take it very seriously.. on one level..but it needs to be balanced with a good dose of humor, a smile, and the occasional maniacal laughter, of course ^_^ ..or else i run the risk of becoming a psychotic asshole

So on another level i think its boring and potentially dangerous/counter-productive to take oneself, or life in general, tooo seriously..It can impinge on your ability to flow with things naturally. Taking things too seriously can lead to higher amounts of worry- which in turn can lead to fear

The message i often get driven home when in altered states, and through unbelievable synchronicities, is that everything is absolutely fine and unfolding exactly as it is supposed to..and ultimately life is a hilarious journey that isn't meant to be taken too seriously

It's funny I,ve been feeling the call of the mushroom myself lately .

I think I've been taking my spice thing way too serious of late .
I,m starting to scare myself .

That being said it has been a cornerstone to my development as a better human for long while.

The perspective it allows is unmatched by anything I ve ever encountered .

The inate desire to be a better person in all relationships and the strange
Quest for knowledge is quite amazing .

I honestly don't know where I would be without my personal discovery and evolving journey with this molecule .

Vovin, I've read many of your posts before. You seem very inclined towards this view. I personally don't believe that asceticism is the only (or even best) path towards enlightenment. Not that more people couldn't learn things from it, but that it seems like at the length I've seen you go, you're dealing with diminishing returns.

Exactly, there is enough suffering and sacrificing that we all have to endure without having to make our own problems. The trick is, as I see it, to stay happy and laugh even during the hardships we cannot avoid. This will surely bring you a better, more productive life.
