I have been on numerous form sites and have always somewhat been turned away from them due to the fact that people generally disregard the sacredness of the herbs their partaking. I have found that this site is very respectable and this makes me feel comfortable on this site. People here respect others and give extremely helpful advice to the members on here. I look forward to being able to make post and try to give my bit of knowledge to the people on this site
But anyways i have a planned upcoming ayahuasca cermony. I would like to here from the experienced memebers who use it for religious/medicinal purposes how the visions affect there belief system. I have researched ayahuasca for years and finally feel like i have the knowledge to make and respect the brew. I have read pretty much all the forms on ayahuasca but i dont find too many talking about the religious value of it and would like to have some feedback on just that. I found that cacti and couple other sacred medicines have made me a firm believer in what i do despite persecution from most of the people around me. and i am glad to post on a form in which i can talk to others with somewhat similiar belief system as me

I had used it very recreationally when I first found it. I was still going through my "let's try every drug" abuse type phase and me and several friends used it over and over and over and over for days on end in breakthrough doses and trips. Later on we all got kicked in the ass by hyperspace for this. Now we use in deep respect of the spice, and are far more responsible in our dosages, integration, and the like.

But just wanted to say it is possible, and at this point there was also several other not friends but like acquaintances who were also using recreationally, so give the worlds irresponsible kids some credit ;P they can abuse and use almost anything recreationally.

And welcome to the Nexus Realms Undiscovered. This is the first web forum I've joined for kind of similar reasons regarding the respect, trust, and helpfulness that this community demonstrates. Theres lots of aya information all over the threads here, I'm sure you can find some awesome info by searching for Ayahuasca and spirituality or similar terms.

Even though psychedelics can be fun, they certainly can go way beyond 'fun' too, and it has happened to many people (me included) to have went through a less-than-responsible phase of exploration which ends up with one (or several) slaps in the face from the experience, a humbling experiential sermon.

In any case, I dont think that this means from this point on, one must be "religious" about it. You talk about sacredness, but I always found funny when some people could so easily divide between sacred and profane.. Its like the person that goes to church one day or drinks their ayahuasca brew in a very cerimonious way, and then they get out of it, and next day they are eating crap food, being disrespectful to others, living an unbalanced life etc.

IMO what DMT and ayahuasca and psychedelics in general seem to do to me, is to show that EVERYTHING is sacred, that each action counts, and that spirituality is not being in an isolated temple meditating (though that can also be a learning experience) but it's in winning the day-to-day struggles with yourself, and learning from the mistakes, trying to find balance and enjoy this misterious existence.

One thing though, isnt it a bit limiting to want to talk to people with a similar "belief system" ? Unless you have a different idea of what a belief system is.. For example IMO there are many different belief systems here in the nexus... Or also talking to "normal" people about all sorts of things can be a very learning experience (though its great to be able to talk to like-minded people too)

Another unrelated thing, did you try or are interested in vaporized DMT too?

whenever i get the time i plan on extracting some dmt to vaporize so yes im definately intrested.
What i mean in similiar belief systems is that psychedelics arent just regarded as a source of fun or recreational use on here. I live in a area where people abuse plants with no respect for what they are taking. The people on the nexus, regardless of how they view psychedelics, still respect them. I try to learn from everything i do and people do and i see psychedelics to "open your eyes" so to speak. They've showed me respect in all things and my view on life is to live harmonous with everything in the universe Nature, people, and your body. I try to live a healthy lifestyle and my use of these plants have increased my spirtuality, which i see as a very personal relationship with what ever you believe.
