SWIM told his mom about his dmt experience how it changed him what he experienced and then he showed her one of the Joe Rogan episodes and then she asked him where he could get it lol swim's mom wants to try this.

One of the problems swim has with this is that his mom in an alcoholic but hasn't drank in 22 years and used to take a lot of drugs and hasn't taken any drugs in 22 years. 100% sober but SWIM knows that she used to do a lot of LSD and it only lasts ten minutes.

One thing SWIM's mom is is a bit depressed (lots of people have family has died in a 10 year span) maybe it would do her some good.

SWIM needs ADVICE!

You do not have to see alike, feel alike or even think alike in order spiritually to be alike

I'm an alcoholic as well. And I spend a lot of time researching and thinking about this sort of thing. It's been over a year since I used any substance though I plan on using DMT Mescaline or lsd in my future. One thing that is interesting to note if your worried about DMT becoming a potential relapse is that the co-founder of A.A. Bill W. himself used LSD 20 years into his sobriety and endorsed it as a means of weakening the ego to gain spiritual sight.

I dosed my mom on mushrooms. No shit. Her and I have always had a special relationship, during my teens I was almost exactly like her and we both suffered terrible depression and anxiety.

I sort of learned how to be a depressed, anxious person from her. She taught me to always watch my back, that no one has your best interests in mind, and that life is overall without any sort of meaning or purpose. You'd have to understand her own upbringing to know why she thought this way and passed it on to me, she thought she was preparing me for a difficult life even though life was never really that difficult for me.

Anyways, anyways, my first breakthrough was on magic mushrooms, way before I had ever heard of DMT. That experience was so life altering that I was convinced it was a type of mental penicillan and it would have the same effect on anyone who was dosed with it.

So as an experiment, I asked my mom if she would be willing to let me dose her on shrooms. She has a long, assorted affair with drugs but had never tried a psychedelic except possibly acid when she was a teenager but she didn't really remember what it was like. Well, I shared some of my shrooms with her but to my great dismay she did not have the type of experience I was hoping she would have. Granted, she did say it was one of the best experiences she had ever had but she did not walk away from the trip with an altered way of looking at the world.

This caused me to reformulate my original position that psychedelics work the same on everybody. My mom and I would share pretty close to the same genetics and an even closer mental disposition towards the world, but for me the experience was radically life altering and for her it was only curious.

Hopefully that will give you some perspective. I'm not saying do or don't do it, but if you do decided to do it don't have any expectations about what she might bring out of it. She might not be 'transformed' by one experiment with a psychedelic compound, but then again she may there is just no telling.

Most of my older reformed alcoholic friends have used psychedelics to help keep them from drinking.I have seen some of them having just got out of rehab and use lsd and mushrooms. These guys were hardcore alcoholics and they told me it really helped them stay sober and actually make them not want to drink.

It is not a cure and some may say its transferring their addiction from one to the next but they all live happier more productive lives using psychedelics than they were when they drank. For the record none of them are hooked on psychedelics.
