..this one is, as far as i can tell, the origins of conscious hip-hop the classic 1983 "It's Yours" by T. La Rock, the first record produced by Rick Rubin..an unbelievable number of hip-hop legends refer back to this track..still rocks it was very psychedelic on LSD back in the 80s. .

It was the fabled year 2012. Within the seemingly doomed and feeble slave-species of homo-sapien sapien a minute percentage began experimenting with various forms of psycho-active plant allies and thought manifestation techniques. These guys are not very well known but I really love their new album. Synonym vs Si-Klon the album is called Celestial Frequency Shift. I'm not exactly sure where in the states Si-Klon is from but the Synonym is a friend of mine from Holland. Since when is Aesop Rock from michigan?? LOL. Some good hip hop in this thread, guys! Snozzleberry, i actually used to do some promotion for blueprint back in the day. I traded him a copy of reason/recycle that he is currently using for some LP's a few years back. haha. I used to spend alot of time up in columbus at hip hop shows and got to know weightless records folks pretty well. Not to mention meeting all of my hip hop idols! List of some of the artists that i've seen perform. Some i've seen many times. Illogic/blueprint/greenhouse effect/soul position/eyedea & abilities/aesop rock/murs/mr lif/brother ali/atmosphere/El-P/cannibal ox/camu tao(r.i.p)/megahertz/rjd2/talib kweli & hitek/the roots/pharcyde/living legends/jean grae/Del/krs one/zion i/edan/c rayz walz/company flow/the perceptionists/mr dibbs/grayskul/gift of gab/blackalicious/abstract rude/bru lei/dj przm/mf doom/quasimoto/scribble jam a couple years... I can't think of any more at the moment but you could probably double that list with the artists that i've seen perform. I've actually been lucky enough to meet and speak with most of them as well.
