so i finally ordered some acacia confusa root bark and some syrian rue. the reading i've been doing is telling me to brew separately. i CANNOT stand the taste of rue one bit and was considering adding honey to a dose of ground rue and making a few balls and maybe coating them with sugar or something; and even doing a egg white tanning binding on the confusa tea if it tastes bad enough.

does anyone think the balled rue is a good idea (will it absorb well in my gut?) i would also like to hear anything else you might have to say.

(just realized my awesome acronym-ized name)

If you don't like the taste of rue, just grind and cap them.
As for the acacia, it contains tannins that stick to your mouth. I usually let it sit in the fridge for a couple of days before reducing. It still tastes bitter, but I don't mind it too much.

How is the confusa compared to other admixture type things like it I remember seeing something about it along time ago and saying its more potent or something but I havent been looking into Anything of that sort in a long time.

..a few have reported A. confusa as more 'potent' or similar to vaping spice than MHRB in ayahuasca-analogues..
this may well be due to the presence of NMT (up to 50% of alkaloid), and/or flavonoids..it has mild oral activity on it's own (i.e. without additional MAOIs)

I'll keep it in mind. Sometime I'll get it and try.

Has anyone combo'd confusa with Chali?

SAW: Bark or Rootbark?

Souldfood: Does that method seem preferable to you over an eggwhite or plant gelatin fining?

RE: Rue:
If not grinding and encapsulating rue; the whole seeds might be swallowed at an increased dosage (4.5 grams?) to compensate. Some say rue is more pleasant on the body this way. Definitely wait (maybe 40 minutes?) untill feeling effects from rue to launch.

A filtered tea also is said to need the higher amount; but is also more pleasant than seed grinds. My dog wants to take the many recommendations given to experiment with a simple and cheap "Manske rue extraction" for the pure harmalas.

Blessings.

P.S: So interesting that the A.c. root has MAOI properties... So I know there are at least two plants that each contain both the power and the light in workable amounts.

Gotta get growing!

..here is a whole thread on Acacia confusa & Formosahuasca here..it has partial rather than full oral activity..but it could be wise to have less rue (3.5grams) to begin with if the admixture may already have some possible MAOI activity..remember it also has NMT in it..

it is more eco-friendly to use stem bark (which works fine) than rootbark (which has slightly more of the same alkaloids, but leads to tree-death)
