Hi all–

I have noticed what I think is an significant increase in my tolerance to tryptamines. Unfortunately I don’t have any concrete figures to back up my early use of tryptamines, but I have noticed that sometime around a decade ago I started to need a very much larger doses in order to get off the ground.

Some history –

At 14 I created quite a relationship with LSD and at 15 mushrooms. I have used various other drugs since the age of 11. During my initial years working with psychoactive substances I seemed to be very average in my doses, never needing any more than those around me to get full effects.

I played reasonably extensively with many substances until around the age of 21. From 21 my use of psychedelics gradually dropped off to pretty much no use until I was 30, although I continued to play with psychoactives, just not tryptamines. One of the reasons my psychedelic use dropped off was that I found I was getting very little effect from LSD and put it down to people laying very little acid on blotters and weak liquid.

At 30 my life changed quite drastically and in tandem with this I re-found psychedelics, specifically I found DMT and I started to delve into the field again.

These past 4 years I have noted that I get very little to no effect of normal doses, which do have a significant effect on everyone around me, for instance people around me will eat the same shrooms (experienced users of psychdelics) and be having a complicated time, whereas I will be just above baseline. I have tried liquid acid and blotters many times and only had effects once in around a decade now, and that time I washed out a bottle and took that with harmalas.

Other than use of psychoactives I also have long term (over 20 years) issue with a variety of types of migraine, which I wonder if maybe this may have had some kind of an effect on my physiology and pushed my tolerance through the roof, but this is just a very wild guess! As a side note I use Sumatriptan/Rizatriptan as abortive medication and these both work very reliably at normal doses.

Some examples (no useful numbers though) of the type of doses in early and later use of tryptamines:

• As a teenager I would normally dose between 1/4 and 3 blotters, recently I have eaten 1/2 – 2.5 supposedly good blotters and been at baseline, as well as trying many batches of supposedly good liquid acid and seeing no effect whilst others are crawling up the walls.

• As a teenager (sorry, I can’t even remember what weight we used to eat) we used to eat libs through the season here, I ate the same as everyone else and seemed to see the same level of effect as those around me. Now I can eat 5g good cubes and be mellow when I have people complaining about the strength of them at ~1/4 that dose.

• Pharma– I have been testing where my point is with this for 2 years now and only once seen significant effects, the dose in this case was 160mg DMT fumarate and 220mg harmaline. Doses lower than this leave me just above baseline.

So–

I am wondering if anyone else has seen an unusual change in the dose they need off the tryptamines, or if they can think of any reason this might have happened, I am certainly very confused by this change that seems to have happened!
