I was shocked to see this on a mainstream media outlet:

This is quite strange, there seems to be an emergence of positive articles on entheogens as of late, from sources(FOX, CNN, etc) that normally spread nothing but propaganda/misinformation regarding these issues. Wondering if there's an agenda behind it.

Well maybe. I sort of view it in a different way. Terence was asked one time why he wasn't in jail for all the stuff he promoted and he gave one hell of a good answer. He said that it was almost like leaving the psychedelic pilot light on, that western science was 99.9% sure it had it right but on the 0.1% chance that they were wrong they left intelligent psychonauts like Terence alone.

I've noticed the increase in psychedelic interest in mainstream media lately and that was the first play my mind went. Things have gotten so bad and so confusing that we are now, as a society, willing to try ANYTHING that works. At least that's the way I've been looking at it.

I don't know how you could have a sinister agenda for psychedelic use when, as a general rule, psychedelics tend to deprogram the mind and teach an individual how to think instead of what's regurgitated in society, but I've been wrong on stuff like this before so who knows. It's still and encouraging thing to see popping up in the places it has been lately.

Hm. That's weird Global I just clicked it and watched the video again so I'm not sure what's up.

To summarize though, they've been giving terminal cancer patients doses of psilicybin and it's had an overwhelmingly positive impact on taking away the fear of the circumstances. One dose can leave a cancer patient feeling contented and at peace for months at a time.

Finally science is catching up.

I agree with your entire post Tek, especially this part:

It's kind of sad and unfortunate, however as we approach the tipping point there are two things that can happen. I just hope we're on the right side of the coin after the fact. I have a lot of hope for humankind, sometimes I just wonder how quickly we can figure it out as a whole.

It's really nice to see this news report. It was released on my birthday, what a neat present Cool
