Sorry again for the hyperbole

I highlighted the part that is my exact problem with most of these theories. In the end, it's humans that add consciousness to things. It's humans that project consciousness onto things and conclude that everything must be alive.

I occasionally entertain these thoughts, let them run and see what happens. It's a fun experiment to see what alternative answers to the big questions I can come up with. But in the end, I know these are all just thought experiments that is incapable of reaching conclusions. In order to draw conclusions you need evidence to support your claims.

And well, there's literally no evidence or support for the fact that matter is a giant inter-connected conscious being. Hell, for all we know the universe is the building block in another universe. Our universe is an atom in an incomprehensibly larger universe. And our atoms each contain their own universe. But I cannot prove these things with hard evidence so I do not claim these to be truths.

And that is exactly what people like Robert Lanza are doing: they claim they have the answer and in the process attempt to get rid of all science we've done over the past thousands of years.

And this is also why I like science so much: they don't claim to have the absolute truth. They say: I think this is how it is, and this is 47why I believe that could be true, could you have another look at it and verify my results?

What do you mean by "the consciousness we've added to all things?". All of our best current scientific understanding of the universe bears no reference to consciousness at all. Consciousness is simply left out of all the laws and equations, and they are formulated extremely precisely without the need for it.

As I wrote we are all like dots drawn on a paper that do not know what is up or down. We just have been informed about this property of our cosmos without being able to sense what is this (up and down). So imagine that if you are in this 2D world how you would act if somebody told you that up has other planets or even extra dimensional beings. Even now that we sort of know what 4D space time is some rush to connect it with God or claim that anyone involved with such theories is a wacko or completely ignore science. I'm writing most about the humanity’s average state against the true cosmos but even my self cause somebody just told me that there’s up and down and now they are going to send large instruments to space to measure the waves of space time it self. There must be lots of information coming in the next years. I don’t know if it’s going all to be proved and don’t care that much but I will not fight against it. This information might make the human kind more open brained and therefore upgrade there society to a next level. This information can unveil the consciousness we've added to all things and sorry once again I don’t want to offend scientists who surely do there jobs great but Newton would never do research on the possibility of a quantum apple that might or might not fell on his head . I mean we are not there yet, our civilization is so young and our minds haven’t got the data to demonstrate the whole picture. And please accept science does make mistakes , some time times only to fill some numbers to an equation like Einstein did with cosmological constant only because he couldn’t accept to expansion of the universe. I’ve got a guess that in some years we won’t be talking about dark energy or dark matter any more cause it’s the same thing. I just hope we get finished with theocracy which degrades our consciousness for millennium. Sorry to any believers but all that is my opinion.
It's amazing just to find out, so true and so clear that there is no good or bad, only love and fear and that is all we are messing with during our whole human history and WOW that was my first hit. A moment of freedom out of the ape's sealed skin.

Here's a nice video from Brian Greene explaining how science believes the cosmos works and why they believe that.

I dont take all these theories as absolute facts I pick and choose which parts I like to believe. Some of them I watch/read much in the same way I watch/read science fiction for entertainment and to expand my mind with ideas that
stimulate me.

I have been recently watching Brian Greene on Natural Geographic I think his show is called the cosmos or something like that anyway I just wanted to say I really enjoy his programs.

Yes! Brian Greene is a real good and honest professor of physics and mathematics. Not surprisingly, he doesn't advocate nonsense such as Lanza does, because Greene actually knows what he is talking about. Listen to people like him when trying to understand science and our universe Smile

His show is called "The Fabric of the Cosmos", based on his splendid book by the same name.
