i have heard that there is magic mushrooms growing up the pine forrest near were i live and im planing on picking them. im not sure what type they are but i know that the way my you recognise them is by squishing them and they turn blue. does anyone know what type this is? i live in victoria australia by the way.

also is there any thing i need to do to them? do i just eat them or drie them? do i eat the whole mushroom or leave some out?

and one last thing, what do i do once i eat 1-2 grams? do i lie with my eyes cosed or sit with my eyes open?

^^Yes. Picking wild mushrooms that you hope are the good magical kind is a dangerous game. Most mushrooms will turn bluish when you handle them roughly, which is basically bruising, I believe. Some mushrooms are very poisonous and could potentially kill you, so make sure you know what you're getting. Once you do get the right kind(most likely a strain of psilocybe cubensis), gobble them down and go for a nice nature walk, then settle down and throw on your favorite tunes, and explore your imagination like you've never been able to before. here is a picture a friend sent me that he got of google images. he said that it is one of the types of magic mushrooms that grows atound my area. its called golden cap.

The name is on the bottom of the picture my friend , and that species of mushroom does grow in Australia but I do not know if it is indigenous to your exact area. I actually attempted to grow that species a few years back but failed because it is a cold fruitinbg strain, and I didnt have the right equipment. Once again, Please do not eat anything without identifying it, and just because your friend found a picture that looks like the mushrooms he/she finds doesnt mean they are those. There are thousands of active mushrooms as well as thousands of look-a-likes which some are fatal and can KILL YOU. If you are set on going hunting for gooms and consuming the goomers found, then please at least take pics of your finds and post them on this site, or shroomery so that someone may help you identify them. If you go to shroomery try asking mjshroomer he lives his life by travelling the world and discovering new psychadelic mushrooms, and knows his shit well.

And on identifying, take a spore print of your find too. The properties of the spores are an important identifying feature, such as size, shape and colour (however colour is the only one you're going to be able to see with the naked eye). Take photos of the cap, from the side and underneath so we can see the gills.
