Hello nexians,

Ive been diving in to the world of cactus lately, with amazing results.

This teacher has me inspired and beffudled, and i feel like i want a good solid source of information on all things cactus.

This little sub-forum is a good start...

There are mushroom forums, RC forums, this dmt forum, where is the cacti forum? is there one? even if its private or more underground, can someone point me in that direction?

Reading much of the info online, seems very lackluster, seems to be the same copied and pasted regurgitated stuff (sort of like the information available on ayahuasca). Maybe there is no good info and the only good info comes straight from the cactus?

Im interested in any good articles about it but mostly stuff about it's traditional uses, magical powers, folk lore and any secret techniques or recipies for a cactus brew. I am also in need of good cultivation information.

I want to know more about the different kinds of san pedro and other closely related cacti and what the differences between them might be...

Any help is appreciated, thank you my dear friends.

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

I would suggest reading some books by Carlos Castaneda and Aldous Huxley if you have not already read them as they are highly relevant to cactus.

From my experience Peruvian torch is the smoothest, T. bridgissi is the absolute strongest.
Regular San Pedro is in between.

The best way to make brew is using only fresh cactus skins..

Making brew with powdered cactus is very difficult because powdered cactus turns into a snot like substance when you add water to it.....

Peruvian torch or pure mescaline may also be mixed with Caapi for a more immersive Peyote-like experience.

n.b - do not use the skins.. and cacti are extremely variable, read up on mixing them with MAOIs.
from an old entheogen review:
TRICHOCEREUS PACHANOI
AYAHUASCA 1
Summer 1995
I know someone who has been experimenting with Trichocereus pachanoi and
Peganum harmala. Two ounces of T. pachanoi powder was too much and he
had negative side-effects for two days. Recently he tried one gram of P. harmala
seeds with 25 grams dried T. pachanoi powder and said it was just right. He
says the T. pachanoi feels about 3 times as strong when potentiated in this
manner. No negative after-effects this time. He claims that this is now his
favorite entheogen combo; very deep. — ANONYMOUS, NM

3 times as strong leaves a massive margin for error, unless you have fairly intimate knowledge of your material i wouldn't try it

Thanks very much guys, and those first 2 links will help me out a lot and ill be looking into them.

Im pretty sure i signed up at the nook a while back but never really checked it out enough.

THanks!

Seldom, at some point i will definelty be trying the cactus with ayahuasca vine. House has tried the combo several times and vouches for its saftey, as well as of course the awesome effects of both plant teachers combined has a nice synergy. I believe the combo is reffered to as "san-pappi".

Thank you very much for takin your time to help me out!

I would not reccomend anything I have not tried myself.....
Also I'm certain that the outer layer contains most of the alkaloids..

Ive taken a full gram of mescaline an top of 200 grams of harmine and I felt great.

hmmm, this has me interested in san pedro again..now that my cacti have been put outside they seem to be growing very slowly again. I had some serious healing with san pedro in the past but have not touched it in like 18 months..

I broke though into san pedro hyperspace once, but cannabis was invovled as well which gave me insane paranoia and I never ever dosed like that with cacti again becasue it goes on for soooooo long..I remember at the time though how DMT like it almost was in that space, although different as well..I am interested in exploring that more.

I slowly ate the dry skin for an entire day once on this beach, and I ended up feeling fully normal again like 72 hours after I first started ingesting it..and it took a lot out of me..it is that duration than has kept me away I guess.
Long live the unwoke.

must not have been very pure mescaline, as that is an insane dose to be recommending Smile

I think 200 grams harmine alone would be... somewhat incapacitating Sick

typo perhaps? Pleased

I must say though, I've had lower doses of mescaline than stated with ayahuasca and at times it was a little tough to catch my breath. Not unpleasant really in the slightest, but I dont see any need in upping the mesc dose to a whole gram. Stop

1g's perfect for mescaline alone for me.

Sacred cactus is a great website to learn plenty about our cacti friends. That guy has been doing it right for awhile now and I've bought a bridgsii from his store and it's beautiful and a old cacti for a decent price fully rooted and shipped potted.

The Hummingbird's Journey to God: Perspectives on San Pedro; the Cactus of Vision
http://www.amazon.com/Th...242X/ref=ntt_at_ep_dpt_2

and another book by the same author that has not been released yet...

Cactus of Mystery: The Shamanic Powers of the Peruvian San Pedro Cactus
http://www.amazon.com/Ca...id=1335979584&sr=1-5

here's an interview with him on reality sandwich...

hope that helps Wink

I have been waiting to buy the Humminbirds journey....

I just cant afford it now, but have heard great things, also while on the bridgesii, I had visions of hummingbirds and dolphins.

Jamie, my experience was only the 3rd time i drank it, at a significantly higher dose than the others (1.5 feet bridgessii) and I had definetly been underestmating its power as a profound teacher and healer.

I cannot explain my experience, but it was a very primal experience and extremely refreshing and challenging.

I became "the first human" and had primordial visions and i felt the space time continuim in a very shamanic way it was amazing. So far beyond description it is foolish to even try.

One of the best experiences of my life.

Cheers guys, thanks

I've always wanted a book more geared towards the biology and botany of the cacti.
