Seriously, I actually thought this tek was going to be easy. It was easy until I got to the filtering part. Fortunately I had a small cloth filter that I used to get this far. Now I have a bowl of d-limo with some green slime/gunk floating in it. I tried filter that thru the cloth filter again, but it goes right thru it. Oh yeah, to get it to go thru the cloth filter, I had to squeeze the hell out of it o try and get every drop. The tek says to use a coffee filter, but it doesn't work. The limo just starts creeping up the filter and you barely get a drip to come thru the filter. Seriously, what do I do now? How to filter this gunk out of it?

Have you tried to filter with a cotton ball and a funnel? I'm not familiar with the D-Limo Teks....STB works best for ME. Can u evap the solvent? Best advise I have for any cactus extraction....BE PATIENT The bridge between goals and accomplishments....Self-discipline.

Cotton ball and a funnel.....now that makes sense. I guess I am gonna hit the store and see if I can pick one up.
All I know, is that the d-limo doesn't go thru a coffee filter like the tek says.
You do a STB on cactus? What is the name of the tek?

Well, the cotton ball and funnel didn't really work either because it you make it to loose, all the sediment goes thru the cotton...if you make it to tight, pretty much nothing gets thru....you get a couple drops a minute.
So I poured it all into a tall skinny glass and it separated. I then used a baster to pull the d-limo up.
Tek just doesn't work. Learned the hard way.

tek does work. ive had mixed results and found that the results you obtained were through improper practice, specifically not letting the bass separate entirely from the dlimo
if youre trying to filter the salt and remove the particles use a paper towel, it will absorb the trace amounts of dlimo while letting the salt solution pass. wash the paper towel with clean salt solution to get the rest out

to filter the dlimo
plug a glass turkey baster with cotton balls, and fill it up, blow the solution through the filter (dlimo is safe enough to potentially get some on your lips, admittedly it tingles a bit but most often you dont get it on you)
this works really well

Once I got the dlimo out of the cactus material, the tek actually worked. I put the vinegar in and it separates immediately. I then put the vinegar in the food dehydrator and I ended up with a small amount of mescaline.
The MAIN problem is trying to separate the cacti from the dlimo. I tried a french press and that didn't work at all. I tried a coffee filter and that didn't work.

the trick is to barely hydrate the cactus powder AFTER making a homogenous mixture of cacti and bass (lye/hydrated lime) when this is done it makes a bass paste that is the consistency of soggy oatmeal and easily separates by falling into clumps to the bottom of your extraction vessel. simply mix the bass paste into the dlimo and let sit, pour of 4/5ths, add 4/5ths fresh limo and repeat, after 5 or so pulls (15 min each, mixing the first 10), combine all pulls and let sit for the night, decant/carefully pour off the top 4/5ths again to insure that you have no aqueous contamination (bass paste/ bass water) this way when you salt you are more likely to end up with nice amber orange waxy acetate, by not letting it settle the product tends to be supremely inferior, take your time on that part
ive also read that the bassified cacti tends to keep breaking down making pulls catch not just alkaloids but other non goodies that contaminate your product (unless you clean properly) typically im done pulling at 2 hours, however ive pulled for 2 days and not found an increase in yield, just more a reason to use a cleaning step
