Jaguars do Ayahuasca:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OqGDv0KCJl8

A jaguar should react to catnip.
Maybe a house kitty would trip on Ayahuasca.

Anyone has fresh leaves and a cat to try it?

Maybe one could make his kitty a HSE Participant.
How cool would that be. Surprised

Had he more quickly realized just who they were,he would have shown them more respect.Had he tried harder to fathom their brilliant minds,he would have taken more of their teachings to heart.Had he more clearly understood the purpose of their being,
he would have more vigorously tried to assist them. They were truly honorable; he was sadly prejudiced.
They were exceedingly well informed; he was grossly ignorant. They were totally indefatigable; he so often, and so quickly, gave up. Still, for many years there was a strong inter-species alliance between the Eleven-Eleven of the Half-way Realm, their Seraphic Associates, and their flesh-and-blood friend, a common mortal. Much was accomplished, many profited, and, there’s only one regret...They could have achieved so much more...

i goto go but had to post this little story
really this was not me
a friend of mine
made some aya and had it in dishes (vine and chacuna i think)
his cat drank it out of the bowl
then knocked it of the counter and the dog drank it
we got back to the house and thay where running all over the place
to find the bowl on the floor and hardly a wet spot any where in the kitchen
my buddy was asking them what the hell is going on
at witch point thay both calmed way down
sat a foot apart from each other
and stared into each others eyeys for a bout an hour
before both going out side together

might it be that the jaguar enters the same realm as the shaman does when he drinks ayahuasca? maybe the jaguars which are seen are in fact jaguars who have recently consumed the plant and therefore are part of the visual database of the vine.

@islandhome Very interesting story !
Does your friend think his pets were harmed in any way?

naah.. i'd rather not give em dmt containing plant material. sheep are said to die of it. thats why there is a certain strain of phalaris grass from which the dmt has been removed genetically.

i might offer them catnip whilst trippin on caapi Pleased

has anybody ever smoked catnip during an ayahuasca session? catnip is supposed to cause very nice euphoria and i suppose that in the sensitive state one might feel it better. catnip is also contained in many indian smoking mixtures.

Louis Wain :

Quote:
Louis Wain (5 August 1860 – July 4, 1939) was an English artist best known for his drawings, which consistently featured anthropomorphised large-eyed cats and kittens. In his later years he suffered from schizophrenia, which, according to some psychologists, can be seen in his works.

Tabernanthe iboga used by Animals
Boars, porcupines, gorillas, and mandrills have been reported eating iboga roots in Gabon and the Congo. A Mitsogho shaman (nganga) in Gabon described to Giorgio Samorini the use of iboga roots by mandrills in dominance displays:

When a male mandrill must engage in combat with another, either to establish his claim to a female or to climb a rung of the hierarchical ladder, he does not begin the fight without forethought. Instead, he first finds and digs up an iboga bush, eating its root; next, he waits for its effects to hit him full force (which can take from one to two hours); and only then does he approach and attack the other male he wants to engage in battle. The fact that the mandrill waits like this to feel the full effect of the drug before attacking demonstrates a high level of premeditation and awareness of what he is doing. (Samorini, pp. 57 ff.)

Interesting as this hypothesis is, another explanation is possible. These mandrills may have accidentally intoxicated themselves. Upon feeling the powerful effects of iboga, they may have become disinhibited like a belligerent drunk in a bar.

LOL!!!! That is one trippy kitty. I've seen one of her other pics before.

I'd like to reccomend, if you are interested in jaguars, that you read

Supernatural Meetings with the Spiritual Teachers of Ancient Mankind.
By Graham Hancock.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/...rs-Mankind/dp/1844136817

(You don't have to get it from amazon, or in hardback but thats the one.)

This book describes alot of jaguars, owls, zetas (grays / aliens) and other 'supernatural teachers'

and a thorougly good read. I couldn't put it down!

Cool! Lucky kitties.
Does catnip actually work for humans? Erowid reports don't seem promising.
Everything I write is fictional roleplay. Obviously! End tribal genocide: www.survival-international.org Quick petitions for meaningful change: www.avaaz.org/en/
End prohibition: www.leap.cc www.tdpf.org.uk And "Feeling Good" by David D.Burns MD is a very useful book.

The sheep die from gramine poisoning, not from DMT. Its like dogs with theobromine from chocolate.

Although I have seen kitties and dogs on mushrooms - highly amusing (not for the animal but you never know they never complained or seemed in distress).

Edit to add that catnip does in fact work on humans, smoke it in a bong or a bucket. SWIM says its like a slight MJ buzz but not as nice tasting and very similar to Scotch Broom flowers.

You can make a 'nice' blend with catnip, scotch broom, salvia and californian poppy petals for a smoking mix. Even add some Dagga

Edit again to add: I have the HB copy of supernatural signed by Graham

Personally, I have smoked catnip a couple of times and I've never felt anything. However, what I got was mostly seeds and stems, so that might be why.

Also, going to petsmart and buying nothing but a jar of catnip is pretty awkward.
