I have finally gotten to step 11 of the tao of rue. This project has gone on for about 5 days now and I have cleaned, filtered and loved my crystals the whole way through. My last question is : after basing for the final time on step 11 step 12 doesnt clarigy about washing crystals, I just want to make sure I am finishing up proper. After basing for the last time with sodium carbonate, Do I add filtered alks to vinegar and salt it one more time or do I just add filtered alks to hot water and evap? Or if both these are wrong , whats next?

is it - 7 hits or dosing 7 times ..... Either way I lost count along time ago, and Just type/Speak without a filter.... All of this is just one big tasty 'word salad'......

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

The final basing with sodium carbonate is pretty much the end of the extraction. If you take a look at Gibran2's tek listed on step 12 it shows how to wash the crystals with just water.

The freebased harmalas alkaloids are not soluble in ph neutral water but the excess sodium carbonate is. Each wash should take a little more of the sodium carbonate away, leaving you with nice clean crystals.

You shouldn't have to use any more vinegar unless you just want to clean up the end product some more.

You may also want to check out this thread - https://www.dmt-nexus.me...spx?g=posts&t=30378 where Endlessness states that sodium carbonate might not get the ph high enough to release all of the alkaloids. So to make sure you're getting the full yield, it might be wise to add a little bit of NaOH to the mix after you've added the sodium carbonate.

I hope this helps and let me know if you have any problems!
