First things first: I strongly advise everybody to AVOID psychedelics if you are feeling acutely (as opposed to chronically) depressed/disturbed. Bad idea, asking for a possible negative backlash that could make your current problems spiral out of control....

BUT. If I have a chronic problem, I personally use straight harmalas to gain emotional perspective. And for me, a heavy trip puts me outside my emotional problems completely. It lets me examine myself objectively, thus helping me negate the relative problem.

Don't do what I do though, if you need to ask if it's ok... it's not ok. You should know, and will know what to do if you research and think long and hard about each of your options.

I am not scolding you or putting you down, but you shouldn't have to ask if it's safe to do a psychedelic. If you have doubts, you shouldn't.
All these posts are on behalf of Stimpy, my yellow bullhead. He is an adventurous fish, and I feel his exploits are worth sharing...so much so, I occasionally forget that HE is the one who does these things. Sometimes I get caught in the moment and write of his experiences in the first person; this is a mistake, for I am an upstanding citizen who never does wrong. Stimpy is the degenerate.
