is there any reason why one could not hypothetically preform a CWE on a large amount of mimosa with some acetic acid to convert the dmt over to dmt-acetate, and then filter and evaporate the water??

in my mind there seems to be no reason for this not to work, but i figured i would double-check before i try.

but it seems like (should it actually work) it would be an easy food-safe first-timer tek.

side question: if one were to use boiling as a reduction method, would this destroy the yuremamine, or does the vinegar already do this?

i have been using this method with great success lately, in fact i was about to make a post about how pleased ive been with this method. just water with a bit of white vineagar run it through an herbal percolator or other alternative soaking/filter method until it runs pretty clear once you get your first pull put it in a crock pot keep it running and keep adding the subsequent pulls until you have all the pulls reduced down to a cup or two of liquid (varying of course with the amounts your extracting) any whoo its very concentrated and relativity easy to down

But I think he misunderstood you, you are not thinking about drinking orally, you are thinking of extracting.

Yuremamine will be destroyed by the acid. Also, how will you evaporate the water with no heat? Heat would also destroy yuremamine.

In any case when you evap the mimosa brew, you are gonna be left with not only DMT acetate, but a lot of plant impurities. And then what? Are you plannign to smoke it? If so, I would say at least mix with sodium carbonate or sodium hydroxide and then pull with acetone/IPA/ethanol and evap that.. I dont think it would be healthy to smoke dmt acetate and all those impurities.

i thought it seemed too obvious and simple a solution.... :/

as far as drying w/o heat goes: when making 10x i discovered a fan in a high place works wonders (it never took more than a day to evap, even for multiple cups of water), but the humidity in my house may have contributed..

Embarrassingly enough, I've tried this. Straight up disgusting to smoke, and no effects.

You need to convert to freebase to be able to vaporize it.
