is there any reason why one could not hypothetically preform a CWE on a large amount of mimosa with some acetic acid to convert the dmt over to dmt-acetate, and then filter and evaporate the water??

in my mind there seems to be no reason for this not to work, but i figured i would double-check before i try.

but it seems like (should it actually work) it would be an easy food-safe first-timer tek.

side question: if one were to use boiling as a reduction method, would this destroy the yuremamine, or does the vinegar already do this?

i have been using this method with great success lately, in fact i was about to make a post about how pleased ive been with this method. just water with a bit of white vineagar run it through an herbal percolator or other alternative soaking/filter method until it runs pretty clear once you get your first pull put it in a crock pot keep it running and keep adding the subsequent pulls until you have all the pulls reduced down to a cup or two of liquid (varying of course with the amounts your extracting) any whoo its very concentrated and relativity easy to down

it should work long as you don't burn the spice when your reducing the water..but it will be pretty crude (if your boiling to reduce.. once it gets to the bottom make sure to keep stirring it so the dmt in the water at the bottom doesnt burn on the pot... maybe it would be best to evap the last little bit with not quite a hot source). you'll also likely have a lot of plant oils and other possible impurities... but would be really interesting to hear how you go.. and you can always dissolve the left over material in water, basify and re-extract with a non polar solvent anyway Smile

yes not burning is very important, as is not smoking the results! i would only recomend this for someone planning on drinking it, like aya. my dwelling happens to be hopelessly underpowered, so the crock pot never boils, rather convenient for me....but you modern folks might have to figure out some extra non burning procedures, im acctually hoping to drink some of the dose today...do you think 3 grams of mimosa is too much?
