this molecule is capable of beautiful things, and some of them even happen when you smoke it...

earlier this week i was having a changa session with a friend at the apartment complex where i work... the complex is owned by a friend, and he discriminates heavily in his rental policies... black folks are welcome, jews are welcome, your sexual preference is a non-issue... but if no one who lives at the complex can vouch for you on a personal level, you can't rent here... 18 units in the complex, and all filled with (for lack of a better term) counter-culture types... so it's a very, very nice place to sit on the levee & smoke a bit of spice... & we were...

one of the apartments hosts a regular, 6 night a week poker game... an acquaintance who was playing brought his friend, a guy i knew by (decent) reputation only... they were interested in tasting the molecule... well, the guy i knew was drunk, and fairly obnoxious, so i asked him to leave and go back to the game... but his friend seemed pretty level headed, and wasn't drinking, so i invited him to sit down... i gave him instructions on smoking, a low dose, and let him go... & he loved it... i don't think he achieved a true "breakthrough", but i've scared enough people i was happy to have someone actually enjoy it...

well, i'm sure this has happened to everyone... of course he reaches for his wallet, & asks how much some would cost him... pulled out a couple hundred dollars, which i promptly told him to put away... "man, as long as you'll be quiet and respectful you can stay & smoke until i'm done, but there's nothing for sale here.".. he smiled and shook my hand & put his wallet away... we smoked several more bowls over a couple hours, & he eventually got up to leave... as he was leaving, he got out 40 bucks & put it on the table where i had the toys, said he wanted to make a donation... i told him that i had plenty of spice, and as much money as i need, and that if he felt a donation was necessary the Rex Foundation (a charity i support, and you should too) would make a worthy recipient... he looked puzzled, but took the money off of my table, which made me feel much better...

well, tonight i had a date... nice girl, took her to a decent restuarant... even wore my going-to-court clothes... had a great time, i may invite her to smoke before it's all said and done... but that's another day... today, we just ate, and talked, and laughed... & when i asked for the tab (which, by my estimation, was in the $125 range) the waitress told me her kitchen manager had taken care of it for us... & guess who walks out in a chef-coat?.. yep, the guy from the lake... he thanked me for allowing him to have one of the best times of his life, and told us he hoped we enjoyed the meal...

if i'd taken that 40, i'd of had forty bucks... now i have a full belly, a new friend, and a girl who thinks i'm some kind of minor hero... all because i refused to take some money in exchange for a sacred experience...

when i first crafted the idea of extracting spice, my intent was to roll in some dough... i'm damn glad i learned a thing or two before i went down that road... i'm damn glad i encountered the attitudes that i've found here at the nexus, attitudes that changed a pretty stoic mindset... thank you again, nexus... seems the plants are not the only teachers worth listening to...

spinning a set the stars through which the tattered tales of axis roll about the waxen wind of never set to motion in the unbecoming round about the reason hardly matters nor the wise through which the stars were set in spin...

Great story. I think the plants are helping us to become better humans. If only more of us listened. Many people believe, and I agree, that exposure to entheogens makes humans more aware of the environment and how interconnected we are and how important it is to protect. Thanks for sharing. Very happy
Let us declare nature to be legitimate. All plants should be declared legal, and all animals for that matter. The notion of illegal plants and animals is obnoxious and ridiculous.

Beautiful story I am very happy for you my friend. This is exactly why we do not sell this sacred molecule.

Man, that's exellent! It's great when it all comes together like that.

Thank you for sharing with us this beautiful story. It should be included in the textbook on "DMT-ethics" :-)
