O one more thing Ill be finishing up in the next month. I am a little more than half way done writing my book. It begins with my NDE and other events that led me sell all my possessions and answer this calling and will conclude with my re integration back into society.

Writing this book was a good way for me to do my part during the healing process here in Peru. I had hundreds of hours with nothing to do so I thought it would be a great way to document this whole experience. Its been quite an undertaking and at times over whelming but I must complete it.

Thank you Oly. I understand why you are moving to England, because I moved to be with my girlfriend, though I only moved 300 miles. England is an amazing place, and London is an incredible, vibrant, multicultural city with a rich history.

Just an hour or two drive out of London, you have places like Stonehenge, Avebury with its stone circle & Silbury Hill and Glastonbury. A little further afield you have Cornwall, Wales and the Lake District. Also, I strongly advise visiting North East England (where I'm originally from) and the beautiful west coast of Scotland (where my mother now lives).

I understand you wanting to take a break, integration is definitely a major part of the process. I'm currently on a break myself, as I'm living in my girlfriend's parent's house. There's no way I'm going to extract in their house, and the set and setting is all wrong. This is all part of my journey though, and I can't wait to see where my path leads me.

It's amazing that you can share this journey with Claire. Now that I live with my girlfriend, Charlotte, I have shown her the Nexus and explained about entheogens. I was worried about how she'd take it, because she knows I used to take coke and stuff when I was younger, and isn't happy about that part of my history, as I am not. Luckily, she accepted it very well, and understood the nature of entheogens, and it was alot easier than I thought it was going to be.

Writing a book is an incredible idea, and it is something I certainly intend on doing myself. I love writing, and am always looking for new ways to express myself. I wish you all the best with it, I know for a fact it will be a fascinating book I would be very interested in reading.

I wish you well in your journey, and hope that your transitional stage is happy and successful.

Peace

Macre

I wouldn't worry too much about it. But i would be happy to write to them if you want me too.

If you could write to Eric to let Don Mateo and the other Shaman know that i hope they haven´t confused this other guy that looks like them, with them, then that would be a nice favour, Olympus mon.Thank you.Smile

Like you said, it´s probably me taking certain things to heart. Really, i´m not too bothered what anyone thinks of me. But i do get concerned to think that the Shaman might have stuck on ¨THAT¨ particular thought, and i wouldn´t want any silly misunderstandings hovering about the Aya matrix..Surprised

I returned to Tingo Maria for 1 night , then went to Huanuco for 2 nights, which turned out to be a rather crappy, busy town full of unfriendly Peruvians. Arrived in Lima last night after a horrendous long bus ride that was 4 hours late, with transmar. Gawd, it´s SOOOO nice to be back in Lima. Back to good food, nice city, nice people, and very hot looking girls. Pity that i´m going home tomorrow. I´m feeling a bit sad today that i spent perhaps too much time in Pucallpa, and missed a chance to fit Cuzco into my trip. Oh well, never mind, maybe next time!Wink

So you see no matter how real some of these experiences and information feel and seem they must be taken as an interpretative or theory and the experiencer should try and look past the apparent obvious meaning and look at what the vision or insight is pointing to.

If one doesn't let the experience take hold in one's mind as objective reality - at least for a while, for the time of the experience - it cannot bring forth the substantial change, the flip of that hidden switch deep down in the unconscious. We must be believers and skeptics at the same time - believers to let a particular psychological gestalt fully manifest and do its healing work during the experience, and skeptics to stop the mind falling out of balance and going insane during the aftermath.

Hi Olympus

Thanks for taking the time to post these reports, they are definitely helping me understand the medicine better and preparing me for what I hope lies ahead. I drank at a ceremony last year and over 3 nights felt very little. I purged each time, but received little insight or visions. I was aware that this is the deal with aya so wasn't too disappointed, a few others at the ceremony also reported only minor effects.

I will be drinking at another ceremony over two nights this June with shaman Javier Arevalo Shahuano. I've begun thinking about whether I should be doing anything in preperation for the retreat. I smoke Changa once a month or so and have had 3 sessions with caapi only experiences as I felt this would help me become better aquainted with the plant. Would you recommend anything in the run up to the ceremony to maximize the chances of receiving some sort of healing? I've felt for a long time that fear determines/influences too much of my life and has for as long as I can remember. At the very least, I would like to find out why this is the case. Obviously I will be observing la dieta in the run up, but don't know if I should increase/decrease my changa in-take over the next few months, try low dose pharma (this would have to be solo), take up yoga, or abstain completely etc.

-Sounds like the Aya you lot got was very weak. I had the same experience with the last 2 ceremonies i had with Don Mateo, and even Olympus mon ended up brewing his own!! Laughing . Luckily the first 2 were stronger, and i saw lots of amazing things. Obviously if you are pretty accustomed to pharmahuasca and Changa, then it would help to take a break from that before giving Aya a try. As a certain Olympus mon said to me once, "if in doubt, DRINK MOAR"!!

I would abstain from dmt changa pharma ext. Its been told to me that dmt use prior to ayahuasca does diminish the effects. I smoked some changa before my first ceremony and had to drink 5 times. I didn't feel anything till the 3rd cup and it wasn't strong till the 4th.
This may be coincidence or it may be true I dont know for sure but its worth abstaining just in case. A week should be fine.

I wouldn't worry about sex that much. That is mostly important during dieta but maybe dont orgasm the day of ceremony or the night before but I broke all those rules and still had a huge powerful experience.

Try to be open to the medicine and not want it too bad. These things can block the experience from happening. Allow your body language to match your open mind. Lay palms up do not cross your arms over your chest ext. Be open.

Other than that just drink as many times as you need. Waiting 45-1 hour between doses until you can feel it coming on. I've never drank only one time until I brewed my own aya. They don't make it too strong because of many first timers ext.

Hi Olympus

Thanks for the advice. Abstaining from changa use should be relatively easy. Although I value the experience I would not feel too much loss if I was to start abstaining from now.

When you drink is your seating position while it takes effect important? The first night I drank I sat cross legged and felt a brief, but quite strong body vibration before being violently sick. After this experience I tryed lying down and was able to keep it down for well over a hour, but still felt hardly any effects. Is there a seating position you feel will bring the effects on more strongly/smoothly or is what I'm doing okay?

Thanks
