I've always been scared of using chemicals to extract such a pure molecule.
But have read many methods and realize the residual solvents can be eliminated completely,
Is there anyone who can suggest a method for a beginner that is fairly safe and has no need for or anything. I spin glass and have a studio with good ventilation. I also have some p viridis plants that won't be ready to harvest some leaves 'til the end of july or so. I have a pound of acacia confusa and 40 grams of p harmala. I'm not interested in doing oral doses until the solstice and want to make some spice that i can be sure is solvent free and pure. When the extraction is complete does all the solvent evaporate naturally or is another wash or precipatation neccesary? I've put many RC's in my body over the past 15 years and don't wish to use any of them anymore. Please Help.

The first tek I used was Gir's pictorial which is a spin of Noman's tek.

There is no such thing as a solventless extraction but as you stated, the solvent traces can be removed.

Gir's tek uses naptha which you can freeze precip or evaporate fully. If you evaporate it fully, you will usually be left with some extra oils that will take a little bit longer to dry up but are still plenty active.

If you are looking for pure white spice, freeze precip is the way to go.

Once you've gotten your spice, you can redissolve it in an alcohol and that will help remove any naptha traces and evaporate clean.

There is tons of info in the wiki and around the forums, so it's best to do as much research as possible to help you understand all of the different concepts.

Also, there are several non-toxic, eco friendly teks available too that use all natural ingredients instead of petrochemicals.
