Has anyone tried it, alas watching themself after ingesting DMT? I havent tried DMT yet, so i do not know whether it is normal to have open or closed eyes. However, i most likely will get a good gram in my hands by this friday, i really do hope so.

I learned a long time ago that I don't look into mirrors whilst saturated with psychedlics unless I'm prepared to fully face my demons (and some that don't seem to belong to me). It would especially head this direction when I looked into my own eyes. Now this can be a good thing... but my experiences with mirrors and LSD or mushrooms have never taken me down an easy or friendly road. I'm assuming DMT would be the same. It may well be different for others. Good luck! Love to hear others' experiences with this.

Might I also add... I don't know how you plan to get that "gram in your hand" but it sounds like buy/sell talk and that will get you kicked faster than magic monkey juice shoots you to spaceland.

I would suggest extracting it yourself as to not add to the larger PR problem of DMT.

Most people close their eyes but some keep them open or open them at middle of the trip, I have tried all three and all are good but of course eyes closed is my favourite.
Just make sure you will not pay for the DMT, as selling or supporting the sellers by buying it is totally against the nature of DMT.

It is not about buying/selling, ill tell you that.

I have always liked the fact to face myself in the mirror while on psychedelics, makes me look at "me", however it can be scary as fuck as well.

about 1 minute into my first experience I ran to the bathroom, purged, and after staring at my "leftovers, which had all kinds of patterns in it" I remember looking at the mirror in between cleaning my mouth in the sink, and my mind was blown. I remember appreciating the decorations in the bathroom. The other thing was I could move extremely fast and accurately like if someone tried some kung fu on me, I could do some serious damage. Reminds me of playing Capcom vs Marvel 3, (which is one of the most psychedelic games ever made) on a gram or so of mushrooms, and my timing and reflexes were so good I was pulling off combos way above my skill level and my creative mind was feeding me endless variation. Like the rate at which my consciousness was perceiving had speed up drastically, increased frame rate.
But seriously, the mirror...

Yes I actually worked with mirror's with dmt quite a bit. I have written about it somewhere around here.

Its a very good exercise IMO. In a dark room with one small candle and a perfectly clean mirror during the comedown but still feeling the effects strongly I would get very close to the mirror. Just maybe an inch from your nose. As I stare into my own eye's something amazing begins to happen. I would separate my identification with this body and can see it as what it is. Just a suit I am wearing in this one life. I can see my soul in my eye's and its a very powerful experience. Once you separate from your body like this you can then examine your face turning your head slightly this way or that way and it feels exactly as if your checking out another being that looks just like you.

I feel this was very helpful In separating me from my ego. once you see your own soul its easier to catch your ego tricking you into feeling it is you.

Mirror works is amazing stuff. try it out.

It's hard not to look in the mirror while peeing in the sink when on psychedelics. That's because peeing in the loo is just far more terrifying, so you end up looking in the mirror nevertheless (at least if you trip indoors).

What you see may not always be for teh ultimate lulz, so stretch your mouth with your fingers, pull your eyes down, take your tongue out and start garbling. Yes, that's what you've becomeVery happy

I try to sing Petula Clark songs when I'm tripping and have to be in the bathroom.

^this. I feel the same, it's like watching another person or object. This is also true for the rest of your body. Your arms and hands are not part of your identity anymore, they are just objects. And the geometric patterns in the face are beautiful!

I have always been uneasy about looking at myself on psychedelics, guess I dont like watching myself grow horns and fangs lol Smile. But I did have a strange time doing it on one of my first dmt trips.

I had just loaded the pipe had it to my lips and the power went out, not unusual here in the winter and it was very dark as there was no moon that night. So I took my trusty coleman lantern out of the closent and fired it up.

the lantern was in a safe area at the back of the room so it was positioned behind me and my picture window was acting as a dark mirror. When i looked at the window i could see my reflection,It didnt last long as the entire picture window disappeared along with the wall surrounding it.The whole wall extended out for like seemed like a mile or more.

The room looked like a dark room with a blue neon grid running through looking like something out of tron.
I noticed three shadow people standing maybe 30 feet away so I LEANED FORWARD FOR A BETTER LOOK. To my surprise
the first being leaned forward and started waving at me so I waved back and he approached and was very friendly.

The most interesting part about the incident was when I was talking with them their faces were morphing sometimes into my face and sometimes other faces.

My question is even though I couldnt see my reflection or the window ,could that be why I was seeing my face on these entities?

not sure. but people say dmt is you looking at yourself, your inner self.
No one really knows.. because what is reality? what is our imagination / preception? are you actually you? or are we all a part of one? one big living organism. that we can be anything we want to be. shape shifters. spirits. entities.

I can remember after using the bathroom on shrooms once at my girlfriends house getting into an almost trance-like state when my eyes met my reflection's, especially since she has a medicine cabinet so the mirror is split into thirds, and the outer thirds can be angled inward, so you end up seeing yourself from 3 different angles. I must been standing there for a long time because my girlfriend starting asking if I was ok. It is difficult to describe the event that took place, it's almost like the reflection directly in front of me was me, and the left and right reflections were myself split into right and left brain versions of myself. I can't exactly remember which side was which, but on one side, I was creating patterns and strings of ideas and thinking of dancing overall very creative, the other side I was very analytic, thinking about the height to width ratios of the mirrors' frames, thinking back to the calculus equations from high school, etc. Overall it was rather interesting to experience.

I have not been able to repeat that event since
A dramatic shift approaches...

Tripping hard enough, you can lose hours in the bathroom.

My mirror experiences have been interesting... In many ways parallel to the odd feeling I get while looking at a friend's face while in that state. There are things we convey with our faces- not just emotions but intent, motivation, sincerity, etc. this language can be strikingly clear on psychedelics, because all the fluff is stripped away and you are basically getting a wireframe grid of the face, its structure and its inner workings. This is stunning enough when looking at other people, but seeing it in your own face can be almost dizzying.

Haven't tried this on DMT... It's a short trip, and I'm usually so focused on trying to sponge up every detail that I'm not thinking about myself at all.

I've been meaning to do this experiment: sit a friend down in nice even lighting. Take a photo of their face, then make a print on heavy matte paper. Clip it to a drawing board, grab a few markers. Sit the person back down exactly as they were as photo was taken, then vape 15mg. The idea would be to try getting a concrete fix on that "cosmic wireframe" structure of their face, and draw it with marker on the photo. The grid may be visible in the photo, but I think having the live subject there would be better. I know this doesn't sound like a very time consuming experiment... But it's hard for a new dad to get around to this kind of thing. Eventually.

I wonder if the "cosmic wireframe" grid that you've seen many times and plan to experiment with would in any way resemble the grids that facial recognition software uses to identify individuals of interest. Something is telling me a live subject would work considerably better than a picture, as a picture has only one perspective lens, so the picture will be 'flatter' than you looking directly at the person with both your eyes. Perhaps when you finally have the time to preform this experiment, you could also try drawing the wireframe you see with one eye closed and one open, and then switch your eyes and repeat, perhaps that would create different results depending on which eye you're looking at them with.
A dramatic shift approaches...

I once spent a while in front of a mirror while tripping hard on shrooms. I believe I got to see myself from many different lives. I saw many very different faces but I knew them all but the eyes were the same kind of. Very weird experience that I will never forget.
That was not the first time I gazed into a mirror while tripping but this was very real and intense.

The mirror can show us, in our face, how everything changes, all of the time.
I have seen layers of skin and time disappear and reveal my ancestor spirit.

I also have a small crystal ball wich i remembered to look in,while inebriated on shroooms, and lo and behold,I saw a very lively side profile of a person meditating,i suppose. It was like peeping at someone from a whole in time. The feeling of ancientness grew even more intense,as i stared mesmerized by the presence in the crystal.
