Report:
In the hotel room overlooking the city of Miami I decided to start the day with a half tab of LSD. Me and one other friend placed our doses on the tongue and our group headed downstairs to the car to drive over. I was already starting to feel it. Little fits of giggles which are so pleasant and starting to see my reoccurring mosaic pattern hallucination. Upon arriving to the festival site I am experiencing a deep sense of love and euphoria. I can hear the bass thumping from inside and am excited to go in. After making it through the gates I quickly run to the live stage where one of my favorite artists, Mord Fustang is playing. By this time I am now positively beaming with joy and the music has got me dancing in fluid motions that I feel the LSD is instructing me to preform.
My memory starts to fade at this point, I always have a lot of trouble remembering all of the aspects of my LSD/Shroom voyages but I will bring out some of the main points.
I remember lying in an area on a hill with the beautiful clouds, sunshine, hammocks and lovely people by the bay in tears of how beautiful the setting is. Everything I am looking at is now being hallucinated to an extent. The mosaic patterns are absolutely exploding in everything I lay eyes on. My good friend hands my a slice of watermelon and I can honestly say nothing has ever tasted as incredible as it did.
After making my way to the front area of the festival, I went towards the dubstep tent and I could really feel things picking up fast. I feel that my mind and body are being slowly stretched apart and separated with every passing minute. I find myself unable to preform basic body functions and have to lay down in the grass next to the tent. Mt. Eden is playing in the tent and the bass is resonating with every cell of my being..and here comes the typical heavy tripping revelations. Staring up at the tall Miami buildings I realize my sense of perception is just simply..gone. I see all of the towering structures as pieces of paper, and then molding in and out, and then transforming and bubbling..yes bubbling before my eyes. I close my eyes and things really start to get interesting as I am starting to reach my peak. There it is, again. The great white ball of light. Made up of millions of impossibly tiny triangles and it is BEAMING with energy. It is the source, the collective consciousness in which we are all a part of. I lay down in astonishment of it's beauty as the music is taking complete control of my brain.
I somehow find the will and energy to make my way to the center of the park where the main stage is located to see one of my favorite DJ's, Hardwell. I make my way to the front of the croud and am looking up at the absolutely MASSIVE structure they have put together. The visuals on the screen were completely blowing me away and I stand there in awe..and then it happens. I feel my spirit/soul/consciousness drift away from my physical body. Like I was perceiving what was happening to me but feet away from where I actually was. I snap back into it and realize that the massive croud and sound is too much to handle right now and start to make my way back and find a nice big tree to sit myself under and just lay down for the peak. The music is so loud that it is still carrying all the way to the tree hundreds of feet back and finally..to my delight, I experience synesthesia for the first time. The speakers are blaring and I can visually see the sound being transported to where I am at in huge amounts of waves, frequencies, and vibrating air molecules. I can also lay eyes on the exact points of the park in which the echos are bouncing the sound off of.
As I sit there unable to speak or move, I began to hallucinate giant ants on the tree crawling everywhere around me, for a minute I was convinced that they were completely real and were going to bite me..but when I realized they weren't I just let them crawl all over me..those little BUGgers
My comedown was very pleasent, aside for the headache that LSD never fails to bring my after it's starting to wear down. I head to the live stage and stay for the beautiful sounds of M83 and start tearing up when Midnight City plays, they were incredible live!
The rest of the day I wandered around, made new friends, danced my ass off, and simply..had a blast.
I was pretty nervous about using psychedelics in a very public place with so much sensory input going on, as I usually do them alone in my room in the dark or out in nature to explore myself but I have to say, I do not regret the decision in the slightest. It was one of my most beautiful LSD experiences to date, though certainly not the strongest
and the festival itself was nothing short of bliss.
