so SWIM will be using 10x caapi in the changa, is there any herbs that should not be combined with this due to the MAOI?
specifically:
wild lettuce
California poppy
mugwort
white sage
calea zacatechichi
cannabis

also how careful must one be eating or drinking alcohol when this amount of caapi is smoked?

Live plants. Sustainable, ethically sourced, native American owned.

I had a have had both a beautiful trip and then one that didn't feel right at all from combining changa with poppy tea.... the strong opiate effect didn't feel complimenting to the changa at all and made my body feel a bit sick. i imagine using the dried leaves for making a changa mix would be a different story.. although i wouldn't recommend adding the actual latex from pods

thanks for the advice I think I'll stay away from the wild lettuce and sage then. The california poppy I got isn't leaves it's a bunch of little sticks I tried it on its own and it gave slight sedation and something similar to a mild thc high

re: wild lettuce:

I believe that the active compound in this plant is a complex of chemicals known as lacticarium, which contains adenosine receptor agonists, ie it mimics the feeling of natural sleepyness. It doesn't contain tropanes... and would be entirely safe to add to the changa mix. However, it tastes awful, so maybe something nicer tasting?

Yeah, I tried the wild lettuce on its own the smoke was quite harsh and didn't taste that good, I felt no effects either. Any feedback on the white sage also lavender before I order some?

The only way I got the (mild) effects from wild lettuce was making a resinous extract and eating about a gram of it. It just makes one sleepy.

I think the lavender would be nice, I've inhaled the smoke from white sage and it was a bit harsh.
