A Montreal date would make my day! I saw Shpongletron in Burlington, VT, and the full Shpongle band on hallowe'en in NYC, but I tell you, having to go over a border puts a damper on a few things... Wink Wink

A Montreal date would solve that for me!

I'd make the trip to Montreal for sure. I haven't seen them live yet at all because I'm not willing to go over the border Wink

Just saw them at the national last night <3
Just from experience, if anyone has mescalito & doses available for the show go with the mesc.
But I love the way he scans the crowd to make eye contact! It's like even if your tripping a lot when you make eye contact it's ok lol.

Already bought my tickets to the Michigan show on the 11th of May. As a side bonus I also really like Phutureprimitive. Any Nexians going to that show?

I went to the Denver CO show and took my favorite shpongle combination of mimosa rue and mushrooms.

No nausea was felt, but i was given plenty of energy for dancing i obtained the maximum level of shpongolia aprropriate for a public venue Pleased and i LOVED the new shpongletron! it is awesome, and i like it better than the last.

But the dj set is what stuck out. OH MAN, he took the old shpongletron dj set and just AMPED IT UP!! It is heavy stuff! For those shpongle fans who havent seen shpongletron, it is quite a bit different from the shpongle you hear on albums. the album shpongle is much more ambient, draws you in, much more free floaty etc. This shpongletron is shpongle pumped up to the techno side, way heavier beats, weaving in and out of songs. He really doesnt play any of the songs "straight up" but rather the whole thing is a very pleasing mix and mash.

This new shpongletron is designed to break you down and put it over the top. It brings to mind the world world shatterting. Awesome time!!

I must say though, the previous weekend to shpongle we went and saw Ozric Tentacles live for their Paper Monkey's tour. And that concert/night reached unspeakable levels of epic amazingness, that really was just over the top/hard to process all at once. One of the best nights of my life for sure at that concert. It was pure magical, no words could speak the feelings, so i will stop, suffice to say that it was LIFE AFFIRMING.

Cheers shpongoloids, keep your ears and eyes peeled for the magical wave of life and donst miss it. Ride that wave..

Trying to make it to his date at Starscape in Baltimore this year, he's supposed to be playing with Raja Ram and the live band. The Shpongle experience is noice but I want to see the whole kazoo.

The Spongletrons' still awesome Carlinesque, before that he still had an amazing stage show with sequential pairs of actors in HUGE INTRICATE fluorescent costumes playing out some cosmic tale while other faceless glowing people contact juggling. I honestly hope he doesn't have any contortionists, seen them on one of his live videos and I'd probably get paranoid that the guy is going to break in half. Shocked

I'm happy you guys are enjoying the shows! I'm looking forward to attending next month.

Vardlokkur, where is it stated that the festival appearance in Baltimore is a live band show? I will totally shell out for that if it's true.

I may actually be mistaken, now that I'm trying to find actual confirmation. The video on the Starscape site shows a past show with the band, so I may've jumped to conclusions. Only been able to find conflicting rumors, no official sources. Soo, may've jumped the gun Mad . Still trying to make it for sure.

More dates! Not as quickly as I'd thought, but at least the West Coast and South will get some attention, and Canada will get a smidgen of it, too. Additionally, there a few more Midwest dates and another oddball show, this one in Montana.

It's highly likely something special will be done with the two Halloween shows in Georgia, so keep an eye on those.

Phutureprimitive is opening for all non-festival shows. FrontGate again.
