After trying some spice, the quality was not super white crystal pure, rather dry waxy like crystals I had some health related issues. When I smoked it, my xiphoid process bugged out. My front chest, rather my xiphoid process moved back and forth and was quite startling. After smoking dmt on 2 other occasions which were not brake through trips I had problems too. The smoke seemed very harsh and probably not to good on the lungs since it was still waxy and yellow-white but it was dry. After a day or so I had these immense heart pains that felt like my heart was being compressed, un-ignorable and very annoying uncomfortable feeling. The spice was made using STB with naptha and sodium hydroxide.
Has anyone felt anything similar, as this is kind of worried some. But I know the spice wasn't re-extracted to improve purity so this I believe is solely the problem.

Can you tell us a little more about the 'heart pains' ie site/nature/duration/associated symptoms (if any?).

If this continues, you need to see a doctor. Maybe you could try a different tek, like q21's tek using lime and limo. I hope everything works out for you.

This was only for one day. The heart pains were prevalent the next day from usage. They lasted for hours, felt like a knot in my heart. Felt compressed and I tried to stretch my chest cavity repeatedly, but that didn't help. Finally after work I took niacin to dilate my blood vessels and that seemed to alleviate the pain and compression feeling. I have not had any problems since. It was just an acute time span. I believe it was the NaOh present in the smoke doing the damage.

I just got finished with the caoh Naphtha stb dry tek and yeilded pure crystals my first successful extraction too. I think its better to be safer with caoh as its insoluble in napththa go with the dry tek next time. Yield will be less but not so much if you consider the purity.
