hello friends, i will be starting a new extraction soon, and i was hoping i could share my method here, as well as some photos.. is this allowed? thank you  peace, love, and gratitude -mantis12
note: mantis12 is nothing more than a five-dimensional carnivorous insect from a parallel universe that browses this dimension's web at night studying psychedelic compounds and their effects on the development and expansion of consciousness in the earth-man. he prefers to sleep upside-down in the shade of a psilocybin mushroom and biting the heads off the moths he catches by the porch light.

Cheers! i use an a/b method with NaOH and naphtha that's pretty easy. i seem to find some contradictory information about ingredient ratios and pH values when it comes to extraction, so i just thought that some people may like to try what i am doing. here's a pic of my last results, (btw it's dmt), do they look good? i can't seem to get rid of that yellow - i don't know where it's coming from.. this alkaloid isn't yellow, is it? looking forward to sharing more mantis12 attached the following image(s):  CSC_0831a.JPG (252kb) downloaded 75 time(s). I'm not a pro but it just doesn't look right to me.looks wet and sticky ~did you spread it out and let it dry after this photo? Have you tried it yet ?And hello by the way lol

looks like there is a lot of plant oils and tannins still in it. A few re-x or a defat would fix it. It would work to vape it like this but it's a little messy. it's always nice to know the product is pure, imo.

..without wanting to sound like a pedantic geek..
NO tannins should make it past the basification/NP stage..i have seen NO scientific evidence of the fabled 'plant oils' in M. hostilis..only some very trace fatty acids..
endlessness' tests of various Jungle Spice extracts showed traces NMT and ß-carboline and a few other alks..this is more likely the color..

nen888, yea you're right it could also just be some extra alkaloids. Maybe i was jumping to conclusions too fast. I would just re-x then. but it would still be interesting to see what a defat would do to the color, if it helps then that says someting.
