Hello friends!
I've browsed this amazingly informative forum a fair bit over the years but never felt compelled to join until now.
I've been using psychedelics (LSD & mushrooms primarily) for about 10 years (I'm almost 30) but it's only really in the last 3 years or so that I've really 'matured' enough to truly appreciate them and the experience.
Once I began growing my own mushrooms, I found the experience changed completely and felt much more spiritual.
Which brings me to the weekend just past... I took 60g of fresh cubes (not my first "high dose" experience) and well... I was blown into another dimension.
I've never been deconstructed piece by piece, until there was nothing of me left and just existed in well, i'm not sure where or what (I'm still analysing the whole experience).
Nothing of "my reality" was left, only well, everything that there is/was/ever was... all at once, and everywhere. Past, present, future and myself all rolled into one.
Earlier, time stopped more or less, music began slowing down, then reversing. My speech and breathing, any sounds were almost echoing? And with a sort of flanging effect?
At the peak of the experience there was no difference between opened and closed eyes, nothing around me was familiar.
It was terrifying to begin with and then, well, I couldn't "feel" anything because there was no "me" and no "feeling" in that sense.
I guess I'm still trying to make sense of all of this!
Anyway, I came across some posts regarding the similarities between mushroom experiences like these and some DMT experiences, and I'd already read a fair bit about DMT, books and what not, documentaries etc. So I decided to join up here.
I hope sometime to be ready for a DMT experience, I know right now I am still recovering from (what the hell was that?! A mushroom "breakthrough"?!) my er, experience and am not ready for another adventure for a while.
But I hope to gain some insight and knowledge.
